  • sounds really nice for a 2.5, only thing i'd done different is lose the tip and add a turn-down tip hidden underneath just before rear axle, again it sounds better than most

  • lol nice, i 3 inch straitpiped mine but omg it was way way way to freaking loud n mine went out the back, could set off building alarms w it lol, stock to the converter, rodded converter n 3 inch out the back lol but it did seem like it helped the power a bit n used way more fuel

  • looks like an anchor hanging off the sde

  • Im looking at a jeep right now, same year, same model (1993 Jeep Wrangler) It's a 4-cylinder 5-speed, are they good on gas, off-road and pulling?

  • @elitecssplayer my 2002 4 banger does good offroad, crawl ratio is awesome, pulling is okay, unless you want to take it on the highway, then a lot of people hate how often you will have to down shift. I get about 18mpgs Highway/city on 31 inch tires. Running the stock ones I got about 21 highway/city when I was light on the throttle.

  • @elitecssplayer no they r horrible on road bad mpg no power, but they go good off road w little expence, tires , lockers, ect. way better off to get a 4.0. better mpg way more power n longevity

  • DRIVE THAT SUMBITCH!

  • Sounds like a tractor

  • sounds like 43 army jeep

  • how's the power gain? I've heard you lose a lot of low end whenever you put a cherrybomb on a 4 banger

  • this is pretty dumb.

  • or just move to a state that dont do inspections :)

  • ManxRedNeck,

Legality of the vehicle should be a major concern. How much fun are you you going to have with the Jeep when it wont pass inspection??

  • Thats why you keep the stock exaust, and change it out when its inspected

  • That would be a Pain in the ass on a jeep because of you having to chop the pipes. Jeeps dont have modular exhausts like most cars.. at least the CJ, YJ and TJ dont.

  • are u not allowed side exits where u live?

we r as long as they exit on drivers side and more than 3 or 4" behind door.

  • pussy take the cat off

  • that tail pipes going to get knocked off if you go over rocks

  • I heard the Cherrybomb was illegal to drive on the street??

  • does any one care

  • its not where i live.

  • it's all in the gears :)

  • do you think that the 2.5 has enough balls to be drivable up and down teh hilly roads here in west virginia? most 4 bangers dont.

  • If you got a good guy on the gears you'd be surprised what a 4 banger could do ;)

  • Dont know much about 33's I thought about them too.. but i'm just gonna drop the pot and put 35's in. With the stock axles, you cant put more than a 4.88 without needing a different casing. (bigger carrier) So unless you upgrade to a D44 or higher you wont be able to get 5.10s which is what i know alot of people on 35's with 4 bangers run. IIRC, you should be fine with 4.10's but i would check out jeep forums to see what they recommend. I'm not really a 33 kinda guy :)

  • ok thanks!!!

  • 4.88

  • 4.88

  • thanks

  • psst, my 4L will rape that, just sayin

  • jeep is a jeep man

  • true, still have to respect it

  • yeah i thought the same when i was looking at my jeep when it was for sale "what 2.5 can that even turn the wheels" you would be surprised i love my 2.5 gets the job done on the trails mudd bogs only thing is on the highway but who cares go jeep 0|||||||0

  • i love the 0IIII0

  • looks like you robbed an explorer xlt of it's wheels lol sounds good for a 2.5

  • i have a 4cyl jeep tj .... i am running 33x12.5 m/t the power is lacking but u can still get around for sure off the road 4 wheel HI is hard on the gears and engine so u must compensate by using 4 low.... as for power if u re-gear like i am just about to do u will notice a massive dif and plus it is better for your jeep all together .. and yes the 4.88 will do the trick..... the 5.10s would be ideal but u will need deep pockets and new axles basically

  • I would have to agree with scott, That before tire setup is going to get beat the hell up on the trail. Not to mention a complete liability for you when you hit deep mudholes. I think you should move it somewhere better. The stock position seems to be the best on these vehicles.

  • What the fuck was that at 0:38??!?!

    lol Jk Jk

    Sounds pretty damn good

  • what size tires you got? those look good

  • I can't remember the size of his tires. I think there 31s or 33s on Centerline wheels. I can't remember what model the wheels are.

The tires are Interco Truxus M/Ts.. if I remember right. There pretty good in powdery snow aswell.

  • @redemblem my moneys on 33's

  • That doesn't sound like a glasspack. Well I had a thrush on mine, so maybe its a bit different. But it sounds better than mine.

  • I think its a 22 7/16" long Cherry Bomb. I can't remember if we had put the cat back on or not in the this video, the cat was shot but it made it a bit quieter.

  • ok. that is the most retarded setup i have ever seen ona wrangler. you go off road with that youll knock t off

  • Ok, i have a 98 jeep wrangler i wanna do this to...can i just purchase a glasspack and put it where my old exhaust muffler was and leave the rest? i like the sound. :-)

  • You could have, I guess. We made this exhaust out of the original one. I'm pretty sure you could just replace the muffler with a glasspack, I don't see why not, but I don't have the Jeep, I can't just look at it.

  • @ChevyAdrenaline yes i did that with my car, just cut the old muffler off and weld the glasspack on. Those are def not 21" tires theyre at least 33's i no this kid that got a lift and kept the 31's on it and it looked like shit cant even tell its lifted

  • where did you get the glasspack?

  • Canadian Tire.. lol

  • wouldnt that hit the ground on some hills?

  • Yup! It did. It got smashed up into the frame/floor. nothing was damaged other than the exhaust itself. Now, theres just a straight pipe and a turndown, he has alot of clearance now.

  • wtas it cost to get that?

  • depends where you go however about 100 bucks should be good from the local shops. You can also get it on ebay for much cheaper and install it your self. Also about that video. Thats a very bad spot for it. it would be nicely crushed against an uneven ground. Thats the reason why i ran mine with a very short pipe over the axle and cut it off right there after the axle (i have a 4.0 but its still the same exhaust design).

  • The cherry bomb was around $20, we used the old exhaust tubing and cut it up and cleaned it all up and welded it together.

My buddy has damaged the exhaust with it hanging so low like that so we will try to do a whole new exhaust that doesn't hang so low.

  • I found some L shaped pipe. I used a 45 degree bend on one side so it ends up being an L shape with a 45 degree bend so it goes over the axle and stops straight down. It was very easy to do however welding is needed. Let me know if you want pictures

  • Sure, I'd like to see it, I'd see what me and my buddy could come up with aswell for it.

    you can send pictures to
