Modern day apes and humans are both descendants of a common ancestor, one that did evolve into humans. Given another 10 million years modern, non-human apes might never evolve into anything like humans. To suggest that you should see them evolving into humans now shows a lack of understanding about the process of evolution on your part. As for "missing links". The very term is a misnomer. The paleontological community is teeming with examples of transitional species.

In addition, how the eye or peacock's feather made Darwin feel is irrelevant to the validity of the theory of evolution. The evolution of the eye, for example, is well documented and modern day scientists understand it, even if Darwin did not in his time. People don't attempt to discredit the theory of gravity because Newton's ideas about were changed by Einstein and relativity. That is just how science works as more and more evidence is observed.

Sorry, but evolution has not been disproven in the least. In fact, the last 100 years have provided the strongest evidence for it through the advent of DNA testing. I am going to assume that you are a Christian based on your comment and the video on which it has been placed. I would suggest going to the website biologos.org . Plenty of great info. It was founded by the head of the Human Genome Project, Francis Collins, who is a devout Christian.

Science doesn't "prove" things. I do guarantee you, however, that the theory of evolution by natural selection is a valid scientific theory. Despite almost unending attempts to disprove evolution, this has remained the case. Science has no competing theory for the origin of modern life.

This song, 'Hero' = a Christian song.

BUT, 'SazzehSaz' clearly explained she used this song because a lot of the words fitted what her theme of these actors being heroes.

Now then, since we've gotten that out of the way, how about we just watch and enjoy without so much debating for once.

Speaking as a Christian myself, I don't mind if people use a song inspired by/written for God to back up "secular" things. If somebody likes the song then they should share it, and maybe people will even want to learn more about Jesus through hearing a song like this. You never know how God works ;-)

@annainglewood Well even though it is a christian song about Jesus, since it doesn't say Jesus people portray it in different ways. So the maker of this video portrayed it as a song about heroes in general not about Jesus. So these men (the characters, not the actors) are portrayed as heroes in their respective movies. So that is how they fit the theme.

The First Amendment separation between church and state means that a certain religion would not be allowed to dominate the region of the US. Now this does not mean that Christian principles could not be used in schools, for example the Ten commandments in Exodus 20, one of which is "you shall not murder." Which is verse 13.

Actually, YodelingSquirrel, the phrase "separation between church & state" is not in the constitution - not even in the 1st amendment.

The 1st amendment isn't about "a certain religion dominating the region of the US". If the majority of the people in the US subscribe to a certain religion, so be it.

The 1st amendment is there so the government will not PROHIBIT/keep people from worshipping in the way they choose.
