  • The beginning was quite terrible, I was about to click off, then you started singing and I was like okay haha. Good video thanks

  • this helped so much!!! Only missed one Sig Fig question out of 10! so proud!

  • thankyou sooooo much for this video!!! i was so fustrated at first and now I get it!!!!

  • Oh I GET IT NOW!! Thank you :D You've got a beautiful singing voice by the way. I Liked

  • you have a beautiful singing voice.

  • ha our teacher showed us this vid in first hour, and it's been in my head all day! which is good because I have a quiz on it tomorrow. :)

    thank you!

  • sig. figs. are so stupid. according to this:

    5x3=20

    3x4=10

    200-25=200

    8x8=60

    need i go on>

  • @xProfeshCamperx You completely miss the point. In science, math is not just some mechanical procedure you go through. You cannot justify better answers than your measuring tools allow. This is why they spend the big bucks to get the best precision possible...that extra sig fig can make all the difference in an engineering project. Your examples are correct, but no scientist would use an instrument with so little precision.

  • @MarkRosengarten in my chemistry class we did...

  • My Last Song Syndrome... >.<

  • Lol nice my teacher showed us your video and we were all like wtf?! we kinda get it but our teacher explains it more to us.

  • Thanks man..I'm looking over your vids for my midterm this week :)

  • Wow my chemistry teachers sucks compared to you.

  • YES! Now I have a chance of passing my test tomorrow! Thanks!

  • I smell dubstep remix...

  • i watched this in class today

  • Omg thank you so much!! You've literally helped me pass my chem. test :) <3

  • Your the best!

  • Saw this in science... it was hilarious and helped a lot.. thnx!

  • This helped sooo much thnx!

  • Saw this in chem today. Best. Video. Ever

  • Je viens de voir cette vidéo dans mon cours d'anglais euro ! Excellent ! :D

  • I love this song! XD

  • THANK YOU SIR!!!!!!

  • Lol I book marked this <3

  • OMG...haha i started cracking up when I saw this, lol, but now im glad i saw it. I made a huge, "OHHHHH." at 1:11 lol. THANK YOU SO MUCH OMG YOU ROCK! And ur english voice? it sounded like he had one, or maybe it was just really weird. idk. thanks.

  • My teacher showed us this today! I really hope I do good! I have a quiz tomorrow!

Thanks for the great song! Helped a lot.

    :)

  • literally i passed a huge test because of you <3

  • @iiGATORNADE Mind if I share this comment with my students? Maybe I can get them to watch these too! :) Congrats. :)

  • @MarkRosengarten ya share it with them im a 10th grader in honors chem and literally my brain exploded when my teacher started teaching it lol

  • This is epic. I am gonna use this with my chemistry kids tomorrow.

  • My physics teacher showed this to us today in class LOL

  • I Love this video. The beat helps me remember! I understand all the "zero" rules about sig fig. But I'm having a problem with figs that don't have zeros in them. In the example 5.5m x 3.5m I think there are four sig fig, but my book says there are only two. I'm very confused. If there's anyone that can help me, please do.

  • @MyLifeDocumented No, you don't ADD the sig figs. 5.5 has 2 sig figs. 3.5 also has sig figs. Your answer can't have more sig figs than the measurement with the FEWEST sig figs, so you round your answer off to 2 sig figs. if you had 5.50 X 3.5, then you still round your answer off to two sig figs.

  • I LOVE this, I can remember this when taking the test. But I'm having a problem and hoping you can help. I understand all the "zero" rules about sig figs. However in the example 5.5 x 3.5 when multiplying I am being told that this example only has 2 total sig figs. I don't understand how this is so. I thought there was a total of 4 sig figs. If anyone can help me, I will give you a dollar. lol

    Where's my dollar? :)

  • Again, some network exec should hook this guy up with a program.

  • the funniest part is that since August my teacher has been showing us how to properly do sig figs and we could never get it down... i just learned n memorized everything to kno bout them in 2:27. heck yea! thats a record in my book!

  • your voice is really good and the video is extremely clear in teaching sig figs, thanks a bunch

  • I'm a huge chemistry nerd. However, I first found out about your channel and about all those chemistry music videos when my physics teacher showed us this video and the rounding video. After that I became hooked on to your videos. Your videos are amazing and I'm glad my physics teacher showed this video because otherwise I wouldn't have known about your youtube channel in the first place.

  • LOLLLLLLLLLL

  • wow this actually really helped me thanks a ton I was just studying for y midterm exam this helped so if the number is like 4056.9874 they are all sig figs? what if its like 039024.9 how many are there

  • @SweetHippieMishel 6 sig figs

the first zero is not counted

  • Holy shit this helped me hahaha :D

    THANK YOUUUUUUUU!

  • Thank you sooooooooooo much

  • I am studying for my finals using your videos! You are saving my GPA! Thank you so much! Keep it up, you big weirdo! ;)

  • my teacher showed us this video :P i looooove it now im gonna sing it during my test tomorrow ahahha :D jus checking: if its like

456.0500 then would the sig figs stop at the 5?

  • @xoxMakeMeLoveYouxox No, as the video says, they are all significant. 456.0500 has 7 sig figs!

  • my teacher must have made three accountss to dislike this because its better than how he explained it

  • @th4Guy77 my teacher will start talking about an equation then move on to some other crap that we dont LEARN YET and then come back to where he was urgh it ticks me off

  • this was so goofy, but i understand it yay:D

by the way, what if its a nnumber like 43000645?

  • @th4Guy77 They're all sig figs!

  • THANK YOU! I officially love you. Our teacher couldn't explain how to blink, let alone do sig figs.

  • I love brownies

  • i love this!

is starting from 0:40 to the tune of another song? it sounds really familiar

  • THANK YOU I HAVE A QUIZ TOMORROW

  • my teacher for chemistry played this in class thanks for making the class go "ooooo i get it now"

  • what if the number is like 46.7800

are the zeros after 78 sig figs?

  • if its bigger than one and has a decimal point then all of the numbers are sig figs no matter how many zeros there are. For example 24.567000 has 8 sig figs.

  • @MarkRosengarten k thanx:)

  • Still confused... Wat do u do if u hv a number like 454???

  • @TheDRASC14 All integers, all sig figs.

  • this is ALOT OF HELP!! thanks so much

  • thank you this is 1000000000x better then my chem teacher thought us

  • ^_^ I'm so glad you put this up... my chem teacher is just... awful at explaining ;/

  • lolzers

  • weird huh, this actually helped

  • Every chemistry teacher should show this video to his or her students. AP or not AP: this video will save all our asses.

  • can i use this song on my extra credit chemistry mix cd?

  • tnx for this.....^_^

  • I thougt this was going to be hella gay, but that helped a lot suprisingly hahaha XD

    Thank You.

  • this is really helpful, actually

  • i actually enjoyed that. 0_o

  • Loool Mr. Rosengarden

  • This is better than my Chem. Teacher explaining it

  • Da best! "Its better than a magic spell: DB!

  • Nanerpuss puts sig figs on his pancakes!

  • hi is not singing

  • Well of course "hi" is not singing! How can a word used for greeting somebody sing? That's just silly!

  • this is actually pretty helpful if you pay attention to the song
