I love the Professor's take on the atheistic claim of a constant struggle to correct atheist dogma's past errors.
If atheistic "science" needs to make so many corrections to erroneous theories once held to be true, then why should anyone accept the present theories as true? They are certain to meet the same fate as all the previous false atheistic theories.
Theism, conversely, has always said the same thing, over all time, and throughout all cultures -- no corrections needed, to the truth.
"In the first place, you might not be able to STOP believing. Belief isn't under your voluntary control. It's not like I can stop believing in Christian theism." Thank you, Alvin, for admitting that belief/skepticism isn't a light switch. One can't just decide to believe in something, even though that's precisely what Christian theism in particular demands.

"I should have said both religions state or portray...."
No they don't.
You have failed to provide evidence for your personal belief that any fact in any revealed scripture could somehow contradict any other fact in any other revealed scripture, so you lose..
@1GodOnlyOne God is a superstition as are your "Holy Scriptures." There is as much reason to believe in Jesus as there is to believe in Thor God of Thunder. Anyhow, Christianity is immoral. Killing a man for gathering wood on the Sabbath day? How disgusting. You are an animal, much like a monkey. You, however, are the smartest type of animal there is. With this intelligence you have a great responsibility to advance world knowledge, which you are throwing away by being a religious tool.
Only to the atheist do the different religious facts seem mutually exclusive, because his mind is incapable of accommodating more than one idea at a time.
In reality, all religious paths revealed by God are in perfect harmony with one another and they augment each other, just as the different sets of facts in the various grade levels in school build upon each other.
2+2=4 AND 3+3=6 -- the mere difference of any two facts does not imply negation of either fact. Same with religious facts.
@1GodOnlyOne I do not agree. Taking the two closely related religions of Christianity and Judaism. Both believe they are the true way to or teaching of God, But if Christianity is right, then Jesus is the Messiah and thus Judaism is wrong. Or the reverse, if Judaism is right then the Messiah has yet to come and Christianity is wrong. Going Further, if Islam is right then both Christianity and Judaism are wrong. There is no harmony.in belief. There is only historic connection and similarity.
Wrong. A religion does not have the ability to "believe" anything. Only people have that ability -- people believe religions, but religions do not believe people.
Many Jews accept Jesus as the Messiah, and many Christians accept Judaism as an authentic religion revealed by God, so you're wrong on that too.
You have failed to provide evidence for your personal belief that Islam being right somehow disproves any other religion, so you lose right down the line.
@1GodOnlyOne I should have said both religions state or portray, believe was the wrong word. individuals personal beliefs do not change the religions statements. If the religions represents ideas that are contrary to a different religion then they cannot be in harmony and since a thing is either right or wrong then one would have to be right and the other wrong. I have no personal belief in Islam. Nor am I stating which is right or wrong I am just using an example. So I still do not agree.
@1GodOnlyOne wrong, 2+2=4 AND 3+3=6 are not related at all and so are not contradictory. If it were 2+2=4 AND 2+2=6 as it is with religion then only one can be correct, religions have certain truths if these truths contradict then the religions do, like in the three monotheisms they all claim to be the right one for example you cannot believe that both mohammed is a messenger of god and that his isn't at the same time.
@ZEEECHET One can withhold belief in want of further information, and accept both religions that say he is, and religions that say he isn't, as valid.
Also, I never stated that 2+2=4 and 3+3=6 were contradictory -- I said they are NOT contradictory. Your mental limits are striking -- different facts can certainly both be true: mere difference is NOT proof of contradiction.
You have failed to point out any contradictions between the scriptures of any two authentic religions. Did you even try?
@1GodOnlyOne So Islam and christianity are both correct at the same time. The bible says that jesus was crucified (matthew 27:32 onwards), and the quran says jesus wasn't crucified (Qur'an, 4:157-158).
So there are both right? And I didn't say that you said there where contradictory I said they are different and so are not contradictory. You are quite self-aggrandizing and your mental limits are moronic
@1GodOnlyOne Are you kidding me 'nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them' THE QUR'AN clearly states that jesus WASN'T CRUCIFIED BUT ANOTHER WAS PUT IN HIS PLACE.
Just because you're wrong, and have been proven wrong in a public forum, is no reason to display irrational anger... oh wait, you're atheist. Nevermind -- carry on! LOL
@1GodOnlyOne Ahh, let me get this straight. As long as a believer accepts that there is some sort of supernatural entity (God) within reality, he can be said to be correct regardless of his perspective on the details?
"Religion" does not make any claims. Certain individuals may make claims, but religion does not have the ability to perform any actions or to make any claims.
answer to the title,,,,, NO,,, all man-made along with all the others that once were around, now thought silly.

@ZEEECHET The Quran does not say that Jesus wasn't crucified p- those are your words, not the words of the Quran.
In fact, yes, they are both correct.
You don't even know the meaning of the words with which you attempted to insult me, so your attempt failed miserably, you retard.

"Religion" does not make any claims. Certain individuals may make claims, but religion does not have the ability to perform any actions or to make any claims.
