  • i was born in 69 and loved the 80`s bands like talk talk ,spandau ballet, duran duran, depeche mode and so on am sure music was better then

  • funny how these guys are way less smooth and far more dorky than modern pop stars, BUT THEIR MUSIC IS SO MUCH BETTER. A record company probably wouldn't release this - it's too confrontational, yadda yadda, and what's with that piano break? You can't do that. You need a sampler breakdown with a cameo from PoopDogg. Learn to play a guitar or keys you FUCKING DOUCHEBAGS. FUCK MODERN MUSIC.

  • najbardziej polewkowy klip lat 80 :)

  • If you think this was good ...go back to 1967-74...we lived it Dottie....80's was cool too.... Now we hear Crap Rapp and 2 beats and the the same for all the song...That's what i call gHeTtO...piss on your town coons

  • Mark Hollis. what a genius.

  • Totally tubular to the max!

    xoxo

    The Clarences

  • All that 9 people do to me is talk talk.

  • @newwaveknight1 they're full of shit! I wonder what crap they think is good?

  • i sooo love this band.. the 80`s rule

  • wow...awesome music

  • I got both EMI UK Remasters of this album and It's My Life and i love them both! Glad to finally have these two albums that where apart of my childhood and never listen to them till now.

  • boa musica anos 80 mt bom

  • the wife does this to me........ i love her to bits but i just turn the volume down

  • kids these days dont know what music is all this manufactured pish the 80`s rule

  • The real Talk Talk was done by The Music Machine-it has balls, this doesn't.

  • @SigalaSigala Don't talk pish, listened to your Music Machine tune, were you on the wacky baccy when you listened to that crap.

  • canzone STUPENDA!!!

  • if you guys like this, i highly recommend

    Bark Psychosis

just look them up.. i promise any Talk Talk fans will not be disappointed

  • I saw this group open for Elvis Costello at the Fox Theater in Atlanta (1983, I believe). What a show!

  • What a cool group, this kind of music made the 80's good~

  • Absolute favorite song of the 80's. I remember requesting on the radio on my birthday back in the day and they actually played it for me! :-)

  • Those that missed the 1980's...well so sorry for you because there will NEVER EVER be a better decade. Sorry but music, tv, movies, pop culture sucks ass today and its just getting worse!

  • No music after the '80's compares. What a special time for music it was. Can't be beat.

  • Heh, this is probably the only song I ever from this group. Good music though.

  • Such a great song...and they are so pissed off. Lots of grimacing and shouting! : ) It's angry new wave!

  • The 80's were the good life and good music. I agree that the music today is trash. I listen to the 80's and classic rewind on satalite XM.. It brings the good life back...

  • Hollis have amazing voise!!

  • Music doesn't suck today! Just the Top 40 stuff. Just like in the 80's you gotta go underground to find the good stuff and it's much easier today with the internet than driving around to record stores all day long.

  • I have not seen this video since 1984. I remember the first time I saw this video. It was at a club in Chicago called Club Metro on N Clark St. I was involved with a Brasilian girl at the time - I was 24 she was 30 and beautiful. We were dancing and this song came on the large video screen. I will never forget.

  • The Big 80's !!!

  • When i first saw this clip decades ago..i fell in love with this band. Great music still listen to them today. go talk-talk

  • Now Accepting Donations to Build a Time Machine Back to the 80's.

  • @perpetual61 will it be "hot tub" based?

  • @perpetual61 ....hey, ho! Lets Go!

  • @perpetual61 Hey Ho! Lets Go!

  • @perpetual61 Don't forget the flux capacitor

  • Great song, thanks!

  • I remember buying this album as a teen. My little brother got pissed at me one day and threw it against a brick wall and shattered it. Great band...good memories.

  • this is so corny its embarrassing. the 80's were the punch line of the last century

  • @ThatsaCryinShame This is my H.S. era and I get your point but that may sort of be a bit of the point; the Eighties were a bit of everything. Funky, Big Hair, Cheesy, odd, weird, rythymic, flashy, heavy, changing... and just plain cool! There was no real consistency, music was ALL over the place in its styles. It was a HUGE splash of musical evolution. It was a pretty cool time.

  • Sounds like something Omd would've done .

  • Mark Hollis looks like Kenneth Parcell in this video.

  • I still have a 12" record of this. It's superb as was Talk Talk.

  • this is the video I remember seeing back in the day on MTV

  • Even white people wanna act black what became of this music industry and just having fun

  • I am not selfish but i am sick of all this rap shit and seeing Mexicans and so on ,,,,,,,,

  • Them good old days when we had so much fun and more white chicks

  • @deansusky ew

  • I was only born in 87 but my favourite music era is the 80s i loved the sound and most songs sounded different unlike some songs even out now. 80s revival is in it's peak. i can't get enough lol

  • Another one of theirs that I LOVED was done in 1984 - It's My Life... Gwen did a version of it too.

  • i was born in 1985 and i love this song, my dad used to play it in the car when we were going anywhere :) the memories

  • god dint we have some good bands in the 70's-80's.Talk talk were amongst the best

  • Sorry, but I'm back on the 80's binge. This is one of my New Wave favorites. Hope everyone remembers them.

  • it is kinda freaking me out that this is almost 30 years old. Where did the time go? :(

  • what is this seemingly undying and almost perverted obsession with english/international oral hygiene. let me guess, is it a witless american who falls back on archaic cliques at the very first opportunity and in doing so becomes a clique himself? it' s a shame, cos i like the US and the people, but some of them do have the an uncanny ability to ignite boredom with a ruthless professionalism. No doubt jndickerson is currently selling a victorian joke book on ebay cos he has clearly memorised it

  • loved this band back in the 80's! so cutting edge and such cuties! ;o)

  • Splendida canzone!!!!

  • Pretty good teeth for an English lad!

  • What ever happened to the great hands in their pockets singers?

  • make me dream...thx to cher...

  • I got married around the time this came out. I should'a paid more attention to the lyrics. One of the best songs of the 80's, btw.

  • Killer background synth starting at 2:14. If you listen closely, there are 3 distinct synth sounds going on at the same time. Let's ask any of these shitty bands today if they know what frequency cutoff or an envelope generator is.

  • I was blown away the first time I heard this song...Musically, it was great to be a kid in the 70s and a teen in the 80s. Todays music absolutely sucks in comparison.

  • @funariata I agree, I'm the same as you being born in 1967

  • @funariata I agree.. Us teens of teh 80's had such an incredible time to come of age!

  • @funariata

yes it dose i love the 80's and 70's and i was born in 1992

  • @funariata I agree with you 100%. I can't stand today's music; to be honest, I do not even listen to it because it sucks.

  • @funariata . Hell yeah, what a great decade to be in when there were people who could make classic music. They (talk talk) were fairly quiet, just bringing it on like many others, and what awesome music it was. Nothing even begins to get near the bands and music of what had to be the finest period of classic music. Stop the clock and turn it back.......................................................................PLEASE

  • @funariata i can't agree with you more bro.spoken like TRUE 80's person!! i'm also in on the build a time machine back to the 80's. and a EXACT date&time,,august 1,1981. the day M-TV hit the airwaves!!! forever live the class of 1986!!!

  • @funariata I agree completely. I hear people make fun of the 80's and I think how clueless they are!

  • @funariata I agree, I loved being a teenager/early 20's throughout the 80's. I hear people make fun of "mullets" and others and think about how much fun I had then!

  • @funariata I agree, I loved being a teenager/early 20's throughout the 80's. I hear people make fun of "mullets" and others and think about how much fun I had then!

  • The drummer is soo cute!!!

  • Awsome

  • I was 13 ..now i'm 41 and still enjoy listening to my youth...

  • Back again; to enjoy this great song. What drumming!!!

  • wow love them still

  • i love this song

  • Mark Hollis, not the best looking guy...but what a brilliant voice he has. Talk Talk had so many great album tracks that ppl missed.

  • I love this song!!!!

  • Take me back - give a f about todays music..

  • @phase909 i really agree music like this beats the hell out of todays rapcrap and stuff like that!

  • Just wish I had my cassette collection. Another memorable song. Such a shame cassettes did nit stand the test of time, I do wish I would have converted them all now.

    Great song and great memories.

  • lol. i wonder what i would think of this song if i didn't know English. Talk is a funny sounding word after u say it a couple of times and they say it like 5 times in a row

  • I would care to meet Mark actually ...to see him on the the talk show ,and the newspaper...sitting with a cafè asking something about ...sorry what does it mean this video? is very strange ....?he is always too sensual!!!

  • iN THE 80'S, MY FRIENDS AND i WOULD SAY ALL U DO IS TALK,TALK WHEN SOMEONE GOT ON OUR NERVES LOL!gOOD TIMES THOUGH!

  • great song. loved the early eighties

  • great song!

  • yeah! talk talk!!

  • the singer has nice teeth..

  • All you do to me is talk talk...talk talk...talk...talk.

  • great time for music

  • Great Tune , 80s rule.

  • i hope so much this band will go for a reunion. mark hollis the best

  • Talk Talk, one of the best and MOST UNDERRATED and UNDER-APPRECIATED bands.

  • Agreeing with the top two. Bands like Flock of Seagulls were the butt of jokes...but their songs were memorable and their songs were good.

  • All you do to me is...

  • This is DEFINITELY an 80s video! Whoo!

  • vido is odd but its got that old 80s look so it ok in my face book any time

  • vido is odd but its got that old 80s look so it ok in my face book any time

  • Fantastic video! God bless.

P.S. Heaven = OTHER beautiful, majestic Earths in Milky Way Galaxy (and other galaxies). When I hear this song, I feel as though I am talking to you from Heaven (ghost town)! P.P.S. God's soul = Fabric of Space (outer space), which you can see through (you can see through invisible spirits).

  • Love this uK stuff. Don't believe it was a huge hit in Aus at the time, but did chart.

Testing my memory, but was in the disco scene of the movie "Nightshift"!

Love the piano solo too. Great stuff

  • MEUS QUERIDOS ANOS 80

  • All you do to me is TALK TALK!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song will live forever.

  • Ah ! Les années New Wave !

    Les meilleures !

  • I just love the dude who's pounding on those syndrums. And check out the guy playing that enormous old analogue synth. And all the white clothing- pure new romantic bliss. One of the most under rated singles released by a major label in the early 80's.

  • this song should be played for those who hold higher positions and who take our tax money and give it to corporations.

  • brilliant banging tune

  • I love this song!!!! Missing the good music from my generation! :)

  • SUPER !!!!!!!!!!

  • Great Video, I only saw it a few time on MTV in '82. The whole reason why I bought there album.

  • i migliori!

  • Man, do i miss the 80's. Didn't you just love his tie?

  • This isnt version one, version one was released in 1977, it was a standard gutair based punk tune then. I think the band was called 'Rupture' then, the record is at home gathering dust somewhere

  • @dortyhoor

There are two videos for this song, this is the first version

The song you're talking about is "The Reaction - Talk Talk Talk Talk"

Mark Hollis was the singer in this band before he started with Talk Talk

  • @Luigi499 Oh right, it's video number two, ta. I know about the Reaction song, I've had it for many years, it was looking for that version that I came here.

I know this will sound pedantic but on the cover of my record there is only one 'Talk talk'.

    Cheers anyway.

  • @At the time I first made the comment I wasn't at home so couldn't check the records name (I have a coupla 1000 punk records and it gets hard to remember the name of every one at times), but have had it out sinse (the record). Did he not use any of the same musicians or was Talk Talk a one man band by then?

  • Thanks for posting this - a great record with an excellent beat that I remember well. Like many other posters I miss the eighties. Not the strikes and mass unemployment but the music, clothes and hairstyles (I still had some back then). Once again - thanks.

  • I love this song. I play air drums for a while and i feel better.

  • Has anyone ever danced with his hands in his pockets better than Mark Hollis?

  • used to dance myself to death to this.

  • How the drum & piano sound defined this song! I sing this at my friends when Im pissed off, talk about the musical bird! :) lol

  • loveee

  • excellent band and album

  • Great tune and great band! Good lyrics, "when every choice I make is yours"! Is anyone else dissappointed with the new comment format? Lost a bit of the personal feel for me.

  • OMG....In my "FAVORITES"

  • Stick 'Life what's you make it' by Talk Talk in your fav's as well. What a brilliant song and video.

  • exelente tema muy bueno

  • what a band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • all u do 2 me :) KLASS x

  • pure class and went on to tell the world how it is with "Its my life".....still we will never learn????

  • LOVE! LOVE!

  • Is that Wayne Gretzky?

  • oh, thats so funny! lol!

  • Grande Talk Talk... It's my life, talk talk, such a shame, life's what you make it, i don't believe in you... todos temas que sonaron en los 80 en las radios de Chile.

    Saludos a todos desde Santiago

  • Aaah, early MTV. This song seemed to be on about every 30 minutes when MTV first started.

  • it sounds a lot like Duran Duran's Planet Earth....damn...i don't know which song is better, but i know that Mark Hollis has an unique voice and he is prettier than Simon :)

    :x:x:x

  • @shpankyfunky , With those ears? You are having a laugh! He looks like "pob". Quality tune tho....

  • oh come on dude.......i think he is special.check the video "my foolish friend" :X:X:X

i may be crazy, but this is the kind of man i wanna have beside me for life :))

    i mean it

  • @shpankyfunky Agreed... He's a hottie! I wouldn't kick him out of bed for eating crackers! lol :o)

  • excellent band. Though as you may be able to tell, back in 1982 they had the same producer as Duran Duran...

  • they were a great electronic-pop band!!!

  • At the time I agree, and I'm sure you have done as please check out their later albums - they were definitely more than just that !!

  • one of the finest songs from one of the best bands during the greatest musical decade ever

  • You've hit the nail on the spot there mate

  • You don't do "irony" over there do you!

  • TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNE

  • SUPER !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It wouldn't be "The Death of Skank" would it?

  • twisteeR6 below got it correct.

  • "HEY HEY HEY!"

  • he kinda looks like renee zellwegger

  • One of the best songs ever/

  • lyrics reminds me of most of the women in my life

  • @JJmacd jesus, I must have struck gold (well, oil these days) with my woman then.

  • This in one of the most underrated voices in pop music. this dude could sing! and i totally agree, the party's over is a fantastic album.

  • The Party's Over is one of the best albums I've ever heard.

  • Cool song and being a keyboardman I can really appreciate the keyboard work and the keyboard foundation to this track.

The unique character of the voice obviously cannot be ignored either.

  • New Wave. An underrated genre.

  • @SidJustice1 underrated at todays (maybe)!

back in the 80's everyone was listening to it!

  • 82-85 kicked ass music wise

especially with the great UK new wave

stuff-I miss the 80's so much and everything about the 80's things were so much fun back then :(

  • All the songs from the 80's on youtube have the same comment---Today's music sucks and we want our old music back.

What can we do about it? We must band together and stop buying this junk from today.

  • Yes it did!! I was 16 in 1982!! On a side note, looking at your name. Here's a little trivia for ya. My wife and I do this to each other. I say a line from a movie and she has to guess the name of the movie. When I saw your crazy name here It made me think of a movie. Here's the line, you tell me the movie....."Skank's dead!"

  • 'The Crow' Brandon Lee

  • Brilliant song!

  • nice sound .

  • what a song!

  • thanks for posting!! Great song!!

  • One of the Greatest 80's ever. !'m 49 and the song still sends chills up my spine. Now thats music that means something.

  • This song has so much truth...Back then and now people close to you still want to just "talk talk" and tell you lies" some things never change!.....
