@ninah274 There are different rules and/or laws regarding lift procedures. Some states have “no lift” laws in place, and some facilities even in states that do not have such a law may have no-lift policies. However, there are many places where physical therapy personnel are expected to use the Hoyer Lift using just one person, which is why we teach it that way. If the person has additional help, that makes it even easier to use the lift!
