I fail to understand why the Republicans, who say they are so opposed to abortion (to appease their fundamentalist backers), can't get behind birth control or even sex education? In reality these kids who swear abstinance without fail are overwhelmed by their own hormones and having no protection, these are the ones that get in trouble. Promise abstinance, fine, but if that fails isn't it logical to have something to protect them?
