it was no wonder faith evans copied mary j. blige when she came out. faith had a few hits and these ladies have the same amount of htis they've had in their career. but mary is a better artist than faith but you gotta respect that faith was still able to last for like 6 or 7 years of fame. now today her 15 minutes of fame is up. i think both ladies are great. but i think at that time mary just wasn't pleased what puffy did at the same time when he left to open his own record label.

Not to mention Faith did background vocals and wrote songs on Mary's My Life album. Way before Faith released her debut. Faith was already a songwriter and session singer prior. Mary was upset cause when Puff broke off to start Bad Boy, he wasn't focused on her or her career anymore. And Puff wanted his own artist he could put his energy into. From there they split.

But if you were to listen you would hear that Mary say other "Artists" not just referring to Faith, Diddy was makin a Mary factory. The reason I liked Faith at first was cuz she sounded just like Mary, I thought it was Mary the first time I heard her on the radio back in the day. Mary has stated several times her beef was with Puffy not Faith.
