must want to be an Australian, love the country, want to make it better for all Australians. Similarly I have told British and other friends thinking of going there to live and work that one cannot think of doing this for the short term, if you want to be accepted you must embrace Australia. Then Australia will embrace you in return.
Thank you those who love my country, especially the comment from a refugee family escaping persecution, makes me proud to be an Aussie reading this!!!!

Lindies18, so sorry to hear Telstra doing this to your job, it doesn't surprise me. However they certainly made a terrific commercial with this one, a teerific add that just makes me want to jump on a plane and come home.

totally agree - a piece of paper means nothing, you have to show you properly love your adopted country. but that's where the distinction should end - shouldn't matter what colour someone is, or where they came from. if they love Australia, that's more than enough for me.

Totaly irrelevant, but Telstra made me almost fail my SOSE class XD We got an imaginary $5000 to invest in stock markets and my teacher said not to pick Telstra because she did and lost most of her money... so I didn't... and Telstra did really well and the companies I invested in sort of crashed and burned. I love the song and ad though~
