Mogoose is a kick ass brand, I just bought an 2010 Boot'r, it fuckin kicks ass. For the price you cant get anything better. The high end mongoose bikes are made in Tiawan and the low end crap bikes that you fing at walmart are made in china.

HAHA, i have about 250 in my 08 Khyber frame. i did what you did, built up a wallyworld crap bike with good parts, then bought my khyber frame and built up a real bike. no offense and I'm glad you're riding, but don't kid yourself, the xr250 is nothing like mongoose's high end bikes. only the low end garbage is sold in walmart kmart and target stores.

how would you know you've never seen it and the 08 Khyber's got their asses kicked by the 2010 Pinn'r and Boot'r oh and to add to that it has AM: wheeles hubs and all, breaks, paint, rear shock, forks, bars, and stem the only thing i kept was the frame because i feel comfortable with the geometry of the bike

actually i have seen what the XR series has to offer. and the suspension design is no good, you get what, maybe 3.75" of travel? i believe you may have put some very nice parts into the bike, and improved all that you can, but the frames are made from excessivly thick aluminum to make up for a lack of quality material and heat treating. khyber is designed to ride up and bomb down, the pinnr and bootr are designed just for going down, different style bikes, apples to oranges practically.

Why would you buy a bike at walmart? Maybe because your looking for a shitty bike. Real bike stores sell the real hardware, not some random bike with the mongoose logo. The same goes with IH...
