They can begin to climb small tubes at about 6 months of age and you can slowly work your way up but not too high because they can slip and hurt themselves.

If your getting one I would save for the bigger cages as they are much happier with lots of room, it was a good cage but it didnt seem to have suffiecient space for a robo

Use chinchilla sand, the dust can cause respiratory problems. That was probably one of the reasons of her death. Next time don't give her a dust bath.

Sad to announce Sniffles has past away due to a servere cold / phenomonia after 1 week of runny noses she couldnt get her strength back as her immune system was already compromised with wettail at the same time she came down with a terrible nail infection RIP Sniffles we will all miss you so much with your awesome eager personality

Handling them everyday and hand feeding treats like yogurt yummies will teach them that your hand will become like another home. They wont always want to be handle but once they feel secure enough in your hand just lay it flat inside the cage and let them climb onto your hand

each hamster has their own personality and it can take a long time for them to become use to being handled. Washing your hands helps them not bite you because they have a powerfull sense of smell and will mistake it for the burger you just ate

cool cage!!!!!!!!!!! one of my friends had a cage like that and had even more tunels! but there was a big problim once she forgot to close one of the tunels (because there was to much of them) and a hamster escaped!!! hope that wount happen to ur hamsters =-)

roboworskies dont get along with chinese dwarf hamsters. i have a roboworski and my friends has a chinese drwarf hamster. and we had a play date and mine attacked her and raped her, then he bit her and made her bleed

Robos are very friendly once tamed and always one attention once you start giving it to them :P. They will only nip at you if they smell food on your hands. So wash your HANDS!

Yes they started fighting after one of them got wet tail and they were separated from each other for one week at a very young age. The only problem is that they have very short term memory and can lose their "family' scent easily. Now they both are separated in their own cages ;)

That's a pretty neat setup. Just a heads up though, tubes may promote territorial behavior in dwarf hamsters, watch out so they don't fight and injure each other;)
