@gamergeek Yes Valley of the Damned is awesome. But all of their songs in all of their albums sound exactly the same (with the addition of blast beats in later albums). Their lyrics are shallow and shitty, music composition is terrible, but they do play fast (can they do it live though? not likely).
I am a power metal fan, so I am used to some repetition but bands like Dragonforce and Sonata Arctica take repetition to a whole other level.
@4look4rd well Sonata Arctica has some slow songs which is a breath of fresh air compared to what you'd expect. Hell even my parents like "Tallulah" but seriously, I can't get into this whole comparsion band VS band garbage. I think they are both great bands. I don't have the energy to take the time out and decide which one is better and then wage war on the fans of the other.
I love their music, but none of their videos seem to make sense to me. I am guessing the girl is who the 'last farewell' is going to, but there is nothing else in the video except they don't show anything regarding the story.

This is why I hate Guitar Hero 3. It made Dragonforce a lot more popular than they deserve. Now everybody has to compare Dragonforce to every power metal band. It's annoying.

And live Galneryus sounds excellent. If u dont believe me just hear Whisper in the red sky from their live album live for one- live for all. @gamergeek Yes Valley of the Damned is awesome. But all of their songs in all of their albums sound exactly the same (with the addition of blast beats in later albums). Their lyrics are shallow and shitty, music composition is terrible, but they do play fast (can they do it live though? not likely).
I am a power metal fan, so I am used to some repetition but bands like Dragonforce and Sonata Arctica take repetition to a whole other level.

Hell even my parents like "Tallulah" but seriously, I can't get into this whole comparsion band VS band garbage. I think they are both great bands. I love their music, but none of their videos seem to make sense to me. I am guessing the girl is who the 'last farewell' is going to, but there is nothing else in the video except they don't show anything regarding the story.
I'm not complaining, I would take this over american MTV shit anyday, but still, it's kind of odd.
