Actually, American pro's are alot better than Euro and Jap Brawlers, they have a much bigger scene, and I don't think this match was serious I mean, Items were on, and on top of that this was a pretty long time ago, and grabs are one of Falco's best ways of beating Snakes, also they're called Chaingrabs not Chain throws.

Secondly, you both have points, yes chain grabs are also less commonly referred to as chain throws, but that is no reason to go sick on corrupted, next by "pro" he means as pro as you can get in brawl seeing as there are few advanced techniques at are all easily performed, finally he has a point with the US thing I'm afraid. Allow me to elaborate, when brawl came out people quickly discovered...

the major lack of of exploits ("real" advanced techniques), this made most serious japanise gamers lose their interest in playing competetively, but ofc because US players are so desperate to be better than japanise players they kept going competetively untill they ended up on top of japanise players, most japanise players who used to play melee competetively don't give a shit about brawl because of the lack of techs and the slow speed.

@DXTinho that's actually not fair to say brawl can't be played at competitive level. if you've ever been to a brawl tourney and have played a pro there is a huge difference in skill levels. just the mindgames and experience they have is pretty great in comparison to someone who is coming to their first tourney. it may not look it here but brawl's a pretty in depth game maybe not as much as melee but it still requires skill to be able to beat someone like m2k, ally, sk92, dehf, mikehaze, and etc.

Second, Brawl is anything but deep, especially in comparism with it's predecessors, as it's ATs are horribly balanced as well as easy to master. Also Brawls metagame is too campy and spammy to call it deep.

And the reason why no one can be called pro is plain. Brawl relies too much on hit-n-space. And as good as human prediction can become, prediction-after-prediction-af­ter-prediction will always be too much luck.

ok i would say your right on all of those except for prediction. i guess it requires some luck but it's mostly a person's ability to read and determine what they're oppenent is about to do. It's mostly based on skill but defintiely reqiures luck and i guess yea brawl's not to deep since the At's aren't incredibly complex or hard to do. I do believe they're a pros in brawl though, otherwise wouldn't "pros" being beaten all the time at tourney's? at least that's my opinion.

you have to understand the huge advantage because of how easy it is to chaingrab snake with falco and then follow up with a spike... see from 0:10 - 0:16 if snake would have had maybe 5 or 10 more damage he would have died from that combo

You do a dash attack and then press reverse grab very quickly. If you dont do that dash attack falco wont slide far enough (falco hardly even slides)
