  • man for me to live there is paradise

  • 57 cars

  • where are those houses?

    thats very cool

  • Looks like these tracks need a little work. They look like older ones

  • Gentleman Tell more about these freight trains if you have the videos of other powerful engines

  • but no

  • scary+)

  • nice work dude

  • @igi099 Thanks

  • WOW You get soooo close to the 100s of tons of metal going about 20-30 mph! How do u do it?

  • @MrFerrara112 Yeah, a little to close sometimes

  • @ervans do they get mad or scared they hit you?

  • @MrFerrara112 a little bit

  • looks like a nise place to live

    holly the tracks need work

  • looks like a nise place to live

  • I was a bit surprised when I saw the P&W, we here on the East Coast have a P&W, Prividence & Worchetser. I love your Videos!!! Sorry it has taken so long to come across yours. Chuck

  • @chuckusa1957 Thank you

  • Another great video, is this a EDM GP40? Anyways, rare to see the leading locomotive running backwards, long hood first, always a treat .

  • I think that this is relaxing to see a train go like this

  • It very very impressive to see diesel locomotions come up shaking their bodies from side to side and by little and little. Thank you for your nice video !

  • @pesnyaozemle Thanks

  • Honestly out of respect for the train crew you should be far enough back to put them at ease. Otherwise, I do love your video! I would love to own that gray house-talk about heaven-that little patch of the world looks comfy.

  • you should stand on the trach next time, you get a better view that way!!!!!

  • that track is extremmely bad!!!

  • Awesome video. Great to see freights from other countries!

  • if i was holding that camera there would be a gold brick where i was standing, i would have shit it out when it was going by

  • shit man i love this

  • damn that was a long train

  • you can hear it coming @ 0:42

  • parabens. muito legal seu video. copiei pro meu computador. valeu e abraço.

  • Beautiful.

Nice scenery at the beginning and powerful train. You are a good train spotter.

I counted 57+or- 2 carriages and 4 engines. Excellent work, I enjoyed that.

  • How do you go to the crossing and not even see the train from the crossing? Do you see the train along the road and go to the crossing and wait for the train or what?

  • @leedleface Yes, most the time I see the train on the road before the crossing

  • why is the train shaking itself??

  • @PLACEBOgarbage Bad track

  • @ervans yeah i was just thinking that track could use some work! not the worst i've ever seen but certainly would restrict their speed a touch...

  • Very professional videos ervans. No wonder you're a Youtube partner. Some would say a bit close but I'm sure you have railroad knowledge, which you adhere to safety. Keep up the good work!

  • @pdlsteeler1 Thank you, I was a little to close

  • Isn't that against the law to have the lead locomotive long hood lean back?

  • @MMA8908 You mean running with the long hood forward? No, it isn't illegal.

  • Did you know the train was coming, or was it a suprise?

  • Does this line connect to any major line out there?

  • I agree. WAY too close! Stand back another 2 large paces at least!

  • I bet this is the excitement you have in that quiet little town

  • I live in the UK and theres not many level crossings but this video is smashing. well done, and keep up the good work

  • You are standing MUCH too close to the tracks. I have had to stop trains to adjust straps that were flapping in the breeze, 10 feet from the car. A good rule of thumb is to stand no closer than 15 feet from any metal part of the tracks, switches, or train.

  • @resist4resist Trains usually operate like this because of it's location on the line. In many places there aren't any ways to change the direction of the locomotive forcing them to operate with the long hood forward. It is allowed in North America as long as there are flashing ditch lights on the reverse side.

  • Nice work. Keep it up.

  • Why the leading locomotive is running Long Hood Forward? I am not too well-versed with North American train operations but someone did tell me that LHF operations are prohibited on North American RR.

  • @resist4resist Long Hood Forward is not prohibited in North America.

  • @DeJay323 Really, junior- even trains going at 10 MPH have been known to derail- all it takes is one broken rail, a bad axle, or one wobble too far and a train can leave the tracks. Then, physics take over- cars that can weight up to 70 to 100 tons fully loaded toppling over can easily crush a human being with no trouble. I looked at your channel, and I see no rail videos, so you obviously are ignorant about railroading. Get some knowledge before you say something.

  • hi guys im from england i really enjoy looking at your videos of freight trains and hey take notice of what the professional guy is saying dont stand too close to the track cheers paul.

  • Please do not stand so close to the tracks! Any locomotive driver who has been involved in a fatality, near miss or accident (pretty much all of us) will tell you how nervous it makes us when people stand that close to the line. Think of how you appear to the train crew; we don't know if you intend to jump in front of us or not. I have crewed freight trains that have had load shifts or loose load binding straps that would easily kill you standing where you do!

  • Wow just like the ones they have or had in Costa Rica, even the railways and the rocking movement reminds me of the trains over their, funny

  • Whats with the wobbling at the front?

I know nothing about trains, but i cant remember seeing one wobble like that xD

  • @PuffPure Heavy train moving slowly over jointed rail that is maintained at the standards set for this type of operation. The movement is distorted a bit by the zoom lense, but all in all very normal.

  • I like seeing freight trains run through areas like this. :)

  • Can't believe that this is more popular than Nitro. -_-

  • Thank goodness for trains.

  • you might as well have hopped on for how close you were

  • anyone catch the whistle blower tag on the grainer?

  • @empihsrow good eye. watched the video like 3 times before i saw it.

  • @empihsrow I agree. Good eye...2:09

  • Hallo Ervans

Liebe Grüße aus Good old Germany

Mein Sohn ist 1 1/2 und ein großer Fan deiner Filme

    THX

  • Hi ervans, Thank you very much for this video, my 5 years and 2 years old boys are very fond of your video, every Saturday and Sunday they will not stop saying: I want to see the train with 4 locomotives in youtube pleaaaasse!!!.

    Thank you, great one

  • @emailmesum Great to hear

  • awesome quality

  • I think this is the most popular freight haulage video on youtube!

  • where, exactly, was this vid taken? Nearest Town?

  • @Garr1984 Albany, Oregon

  • @ervans Where in Albany was this taken? I live in Albany (as you can see from all of my Amtrak videos) and this doesn't look familiar lol

  • Looks like a quite place, and suddenly a huge locomotive came !

  • @SynthesizerUniverse thats what i thought and it was so quiet then when it blew its horn it was like a nuclear explosion in natures ear

  • 0:55 somethings coming! :P

  • i like how the hoses are moving

  • i Love the horns~!

  • Nice catch there!

  • Thanks

  • it was 57 cars

  • Thanks for counting

  • @ervans nothing :)And how old are you?

  • nice catch and very nice horning by :)

I tuned up my speakers, so I almost jumped out of my chair... :)

  • Yes, it was very loud to be there

  • That's cool!

  • Thanks

  • Is this a short line RR?

  • Yes

  • @ervans Cool! there is one near where I live that Runs aong the river on an ex-Rock Island Line but there the same they move really slow going down the tracks cause the condition of the tracks I guess!

  • it sounds like glass breaking

  • I like your video! So i'm commenting. And I will rate. I enjoy watching trains too.

  • Thanks

  • Comment removed

  • id love to have them tracks that close to my house:)

  • It's in my backyard

  • @ervans How often do trains run on that line?

And do you have to pay the pay you since its that close to your house?

  • 3 or 4 a day. Pay for what?

  • Good place to video, nice day, close to the tracks. Cool!

  • Thanks

  • i think you are too close to the tracks!!!!!!!!

  • Yes, you are right

  • Wow did you get it for being that close. On a tripod you may get a lot of vibration that close also. But set it and forget it if you want a shot that close. I mean leave it close but un attended and nobody will stress your potential demise. I saw all that wobble/rockin on the tracks. Really nice looking country setting.

  • Wouldn't mind seeing him getting headbutted by a train hahaha rotfl

  • Well kind sir look at the comment by jfreelan1964. I'm very optimistic your wife is not aware of such alarming distance you are in proximity to the rails regardless of the velocity. If she is - SHE HAS A LOT OF PATIENCE FOR YOU. You'll give younger viewers the wrong impression on here - again I say - BAD ANGLE. If you're wife is prudent she either directly agrees or surreptitiously agrees. No further correspondence - I don't wish to argue a matter of negligence on one's (Yours) end. Case Closed

  • You have a point there

  • Bad angle. Even your wife would have agreed.

  • No Sir, she would not. I was going for the long shot to get the train rocking and rolling

  • somebody hit the 10mph alarm!

  • A little to fast

  • Don't stand that close to the track. You don't know if there is a bad axel or a broken rail. Think about your safety. I'm giving you a 4**** because of that.

  • You know you not the boss of him

  • @jfreelan1964 hey retard u do know that the highest rating vids can go up to is 4 star right? obviously he didnt get hurt and that train was going to slow for something to happen. so im givin u a DQ for dumbass queer

  • @DeJay323 That train was going plenty fast for something to happen- it could have been going 10 MPH, and could have derailed. JFreelan was right to say what he said, and you were way off base. It's a good video, but sometimes ya gotta think about safety.

    NO STARS for you.

  • @friscobob56 jesus christ you people are ignorant retards. im pretty sure a train goin at ten miles an hour isnt gonna cause one of its axles to spontaniously explode off of the car or shake the rail and cause the train to derail. and if this guy was concerened about his safety, he wouldnt of done it. and you do realize that there is no such thing on here as a star rating, right?

  • Why is the head engine backwards?

  • to close to the tracks ervans

  • @Shydragon72 nuh uh he'll do what he wants!

  • Thanks. Nice video!

  • Now that is an awesome video! Fantastic quality, nice panning effects in the beginning too! :P *****

  • awsome!

  • Thanks

  • omfg are the wagons shaking...

  • I wouldn't stand that close to a train on jointed rail. :) Awesome vid.

  • Thanks

  • wow long train ..... thanks

  • Por gentileza alguem sabe que locomotiva é essa? GP 40 ou SD 38 obrigadi

  • Excelent video. It's very uncommon watch the locomotives in that position. In Costa Rica is very common. Watch my videos and know the railroad of Costa Rica.

  • wow i never seen so long train wow we dont have that in europe i think.

  • have a look at the passenger train on my videos and see what you thinkl. This is in Australia and the train is 22 carriages long. The coal trains, if you look are sometimes 50 hoppers long.

  • Now that's what you call a country branch line! Excellent.

  • cool video

  • i noticed that the train wobbled alot

  • it looks a nice route?

    greets from holland

  • thats a strange spot for a mainline

  • love the horn great vid!!!

  • This is one of my favorites. The locomotive looks like Snuffleupagus.

  • Thanks, maybe a East coast thing, but this is Oregon

  • Nice shot. Sometimes I wish I was still working for BNSF. But ... why would anyone put a consist of locomotives together with the lead unit long-nose-forward? Especially since there was a forward facing unit. Is that a East coast thing?

  • i love the sound of the tracks, and the train it self. now these days you dont hear the old train tracks anymore like used to sound. AMAZING!

  • Thanks

  • Trains are awesome. I wish they were used more for transportation. Look how much stuff it's pulling! Amazing!

  • Love this video. Be careful

  • I would love to know how often this line is used....way too much wiggling from the train to be upper-rated track. My guess is that you see 1-2 trains per day on here.

  • Sometimes up to 5 trains

  • I'm surprised they don't upgrade the track with that much train traffic.

  • VERY nice four and a half minutes of a relaxing experience ! Loved (all) the various sounds heard: nature and the rails. Best Wishes !

  • Thanks

  • looks like this railway line isn´t used very often..

  • Up to 5 trains a day

  • Awesome Video Dude! Nice NATHAN K5LA HORN BY THEE WAY!

  • thanks

  • holy crap i would be scared as fuck standing that close to a train

  • Awesome to see them coming high hood forward like that. Don't you think you were a wee bit too close? lol

  • Thanks, yes I was to close

  • if you look closely you see how the train jiggles

  • i loveeeeeeeed it ......beautiful place too.....

in my country, india, some trains have almost 40 boogies connected to the engine....

i love train, it so symbolizes power and strength!

  • my bro loves this video!

  • Damn, it looks like the engine has dread locks! It's a-rollin' and a-shakin' and a-bumpin' and a-grindin' lmao

  • wow that's a long train! thanks for posting

  • Ah the lovely sound of a freight train on old jointed rail. Nice horn too! thx for posting.

  • I work for the railroad and you are to close. If one of those cars loses an axle you are toast.

  • nice rhyme!

  • Isn't it essentially the same thing as standing on a ground level platform?

  • Just shut up. That's about the dumbest statement I've ever heard.

  • Geez, ever hear of putting new rail down?

  • my small brother (2years old) love your videos ^^

  • Glad to hear, I get that a lot. Two year olds love my videos.

  • 1. i tried getting that close, and i almost got sucked under the train...how did u live?

  • Yes, I was to close. I have a copy in HD that looks really scary. I will upload it in the future.

  • yea...lucky you...i was recording stuff...until a cop got me, and said "lucky this is your first time, i could have you arrested"

turns out where i live, kids go and get drunk, just 2 die by train. Dumb ass kids ruining my life >(

With how nice these videos look, you should sell the copywrites, and then make some money :D

  • That cop was on a power trip...damn man I'm sorry to hear it. Even if you were too close, filming trains is not illegal. It is in Greece but not here the United States. Cop sounds like he was a major dick. Don't let it discourage you in the future.

  • well, what is funny now is they have now 3 new signs saying "NO TRESSPASSING"

    XD its funny.
