Much as I rate Shortkut as one of the Major talents in the Turntablism World(the tightest Juggles bar none) Noize just comes with such raw battle skills and some truly unexpected music and sample choices and an overwhelmingly intense attitude. Shortkut got his ass handed to him.

The stuff Shortkut was doing was way more complex than the stuff Noize was doing, but I still give it up to Noize because he had more battle type routines rather than the showcase type of routines Shortkut displayed. I believe Shortkut's sets are better than Noize's, but I still agree that Noize won.

I've always thought they should have 2 judges in a seperate room with JUST the line out of the turntables, listening in a pair of headphones and NO exposure to the crowds reaction. You are just grading on the AUDIO you hear from the tables.. I would LOVE to see how a lot of battles would have been decided on if that category had been a factor.

Shortcut by far. Chopping up sentences / creating phrases is dope and crowd pleasing, but RECONSTRUCTING a beat, IE a juggle, is FAR MORE complex. Noise was dope, don't get me wrong, but as far as technical ability and cutting, Shortcut won.

Comparing this against Noize's battle with 8-Ball, Shortkut did a FAR smoother mix then 8-Ball.

Shortkut was able to keep a good beat and cut the tracks well, while 8-Ball was out-of-sync, lacking originality (except for that salute, nice touch there) and just all-around badly put together.

However, Shortkut can't really be judged on the same plane as Nouze in this battle because he used all instrumentals, unlike Noize's witty disses and vocal bits.

But still, NONE can compare to DJ Noize. P

They both killed it but Shortkuts sets really had more of an exhibition or showcase feel where as noize was attacking it like the battle it was.
