Considering how long ago BMW made the M5, while Audi just released their answer, the RS6. Same thing with the BMW 335i, which was raping even the $60k Audi S5. It took Audi 4.5 years after the 335i's release to match the 335i with the new S4 (great machine btw). THe RS6 is also 5 years newer than the M5. How is that even fair. It's like comparing the Ferrari 458 Italia with the Audi R8 V8.

I don't understand this argument, and it is used very frequently. If you are going out to buy this kind of car, you will look at an RS6 and an M5. If you wait 3 more years until a new M5 is out, the RS6 will be 4 years old. It is a test of the vehicles that you would cross shop between, and it is very rare that two vehicles from the same class come out at the exact same time AND will both AUTOMATICALLY be the best in class.
