I really like his swing. But I think he uses his body too much on 1 shot... Idk, Nadal doesn't need a stance, he just need to hit it. Love the neutral stance :D
@kojiro99999 Nadal and Soderling are the exact opposite. Nadal's swing is almost entirely arm and he brushes straight up the ball and whips the racquet around his head. That's all spin. Soderling's swing is all core, rotating with his body and legs to generate power and finishing across the shoulder, not over it. That's all pace. Soderling's ball is much flatter while Nadal's makes a huge arc. You can't possibly compare the two. They're worlds apart.
@Maniac742 Yeah. Despite the fact that top spin is nadals strongest weapon, which makes the ball bounce up a lot higher, set aside that Soderling likes to smash down the shots because he is a little bit taller. I love them both :]]
you can really see how his left shoulder is under his chin at the end of the preparation, and then his right shoulder is under his chin for the follow-through at the end of the shot; a complete twist of the shoulders, that gives him a lot of power!!

Soderling uses a "windshield wiper" finish.
Suppose that he wished to extend more after contact, and finish with racquet on edge instead of the "windshield wiper" finish.
How would his take-back change in that case?
