  • holy shit bad ass dude

  • Big ass 15 year old.

  • Does anyone else find hang clean easier than the full power clean?

  • @green41241

for me, power cleans are easier because i have good form. hang cleans is like more on your shoulders i think

  • My 232lb max i was all excited about doesnt feel so cool anymore... Damnit

  • That's fucking legit. I havent checked your channel but I'm hoping for an update.

  • Nice! What age did you start lifting?

  • @hempfield21 you may want to check up on the terminology again mate...

  • Power Clean means pulled from floor and caught above parallel.

Hang Clean begins above knees and caught either low or high.

Clean, pulled from from floor caught in low position(or squat clean position).

  • Fuck are you 15....

  • Great technique !

  • go into a deeper squat

  • I TOLD YA I COULD DO IT!

    haha love that part

  • Thats cool dude. Check out my videos...search "theskiidog".

  • Can someone check my channel 89306Greka did 205 making sure I did it right thanks

  • respect man!

  • Damn.

  • Impressive

  • The best part of this whole video is that the technique is correct.....good job

  • Great form! I was recently in a meet in the 181's and cleaned 255. Glad to see other awesome lifters who are 15 as well.

  • Haha first time i saw this i was like dad! we need to get a PL platform. We just finished it now. It looks great! We just cant find bumper plates??

  • Great job man. I wish I could stay as skinny as you power lifting lol. You should go into mma. You will have an explosive edge.

  • Hell a good for 15

  • fucking excellent form...I like to see people lift their feet off on cleans, seems more explosive

  • well done man

  • What's the song in the background.

  • @adamscott it's 'standing outside a broken telephone booth' by primitive radio gods

  • Good job man. Great for 15. I'm 14 and weigh 157. I powerclean 190 and am qb. Is that ok?

  • @Ethanmcc123 stop asking other people what they think and worry about how the strength you gain translates to your prformance, thats all that matter

  • What's your bodyweight on the video buddy!!?

  • @muscleartist90

    around 210

  • Good job man!

  • Damn!!! good shit.

  • you got great form too, sticking the feet, and using the front squat, not many people use the technique, good lift

  • is he the boyle county rb?

  • @Percontee

No, D-Line, played for Argyle HS now plays for TCU

  • lone star state baby ..... yeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaawww!

  • wtf ur 15 or was

  • @AndyAngelZ

    15 at time of video

  • @TxWtlifter damn !!

  • OK, I just need an opinion. If im 6'4'' and weigh 185 roughly and I power clean 150 lbs 7 times. Is that any good? I dont max its just strength training for football.

  • @BiggSudd81 yeah, it's good.

  • @BiggSudd81 That would give you an estimated 1-rep max of 180lbs, which is a solid figure for your weight.

  • I always use straps for powerclean. It helps a lot.

  • i bet u can do 315 if u go all da way down

  • Lol good job hillbilly!

  • Why in the world would you use straps for a power clean??? I couldnt imagine getting into the rack position with straps on.

  • nice clean.

  • im 13 and i can power clean 310

  • i can't power clean for shit, its the hardest lift for me to understand.

  • thats a big ass 15 year old

  • nice vid

  • This is weak shit! Just kidding , you strong :) and good form. Something you Dont see to often

  • Ah, I just started and I can only do 55 lbs. right now. (I'm female so no comments).

  • @fifimsp

That's not too bad for a beginner! Keep going and you'll get stronger. What are you up to now?

  • @ShotokanKarateRules Not too bad for a beginner? I thought he was advanced

  • @valgez

My reply was to fifimsp's comment. She said she'd just started.

  • That's a little lump of metal, isn't it? ;)

  • extremely impressive do you play any sports?

  • Wow the power clean my football team does is alot different. We stand with the weight, go down and explode back up and catch the weight.

  • if he did drop his ass down then its a full clean not a power clean

  • drop that ass on down big fella and turn it into an easy front squat...

  • You are a man...how much u weigh?

  • This was in 2007?

What do you power clean now?

  • Go to Clean 370 video.

  • @TxWtlifter What is your vertical jump and 40 yard dash? I am curious I want to know If doing olympic weightlifting will increase these.

  • @7tylerjb Of course it will increase these, it is an explosive movement incorporating the entire body. And right now, I weigh 270 lbs, and my vertical is 30 in and my 40 time is 4.7.

Any explosive lift- cleans, snatch, or jerks, will help these.

  • @TxWtlifter u weigh 270? O.o u definitely dont look 270 lol

  • @1986kirkhammettfan1

    weighed 215 around this time

  • @7tylerjb Ive been playin ball for a long time and I dont think that these lifts will make you fast but I do think that they train fast twitch muscles which makes you quicker...the faster you move the weight the better...you want to be able to blow it up. Heavy weight isnt going to necessarily gonna make you quicker its how fast you move as much weight as possible.

  • im 15 and i do 315

  • impressive.

  • Strong kid. I would call this one a power clean. Well done!

  • Hes 15? Yo I'm slippin..... gotta get back to the gym.

  • man this is impressive, you seem like one tall son of a bitch.

  • nice

  • It is really hard to powere clean, and at 345, that is amazing!

  • That was a great lift

  • why are people writing negative stuff on here, its stupid. to say this isnt impressive is just ridiculous, even if you happen to also know someone (including yourself) that can do this. at 15? he's a freak of nature

  • doesnt matter about your age.

  • Not bad. Not bad at all.

  • is the power clean the same thing as a clean?

  • theres power clean and hang clean powers from the ground up and hang is from your thighs up

  • what's the difference between a clean and power clean?

  • Power clean is caught in the "Power" position aka above parallel, the clean often referred to as the squat clean is caught in a squat, watch olympic lifters, they for the most part use the clean

  • Couldn't have said it better myself.

  • @sk8forlife90 no, a clean is a full clean, meaning you catch the bar in a full squat. in a power clean, you catch it in a half squat higher up.

  • Good explanation as well :D

  • Damn nice clean for ur size and age, but yah be safe and wear a belt, good job tho

  • hey man thats great, but you should wear a belt bro so you dont get hurt

  • thats nice form man. 15 or not.

  • Nice home gym.

  • Now that was a good lift!

  • i can believe that he is only 15 in this video i power cleaned 300 when i was only 15 and that was still 4 and a half months before i turned 16 so there is no problem believing he is only 15

  • nice form....

  • damn man you have impressive strength for 15

  • 15 my ass haha. good lift.. but dont bullshit us

  • Look at my 370 lb. Clean video.

    Only 17 on that one.

    I will 18 in February 2010.

  • @goon246

dude what are you talking about? there are guys on my football team that are around my age (15-16) that can do that. It means he works hard

  • holy shit your like a genetic gift or something. That size at 15 is crazy impressive. Im also 15 5'10 160 and can only power clean 170 lol but im just starting the lift so i will see how much i can get too before senior year

  • true strength

  • That is one sick clean...that's a heavy DL for me.

  • good power clean and what a nice gym you have.

  • nice work, impressive for your age!

  • Video or it didn't happen. Asshat.

  • This fella is tall as fuck, you probably aren't. Also bullshit.

  • youve got 100 lbs in total on me, the current 370 clean is pretty sick

  • great lift man im14 weigh 155 bench 170 clean 180 and squat 280 your my idol dude

  • Good luck this year guy. Great lift and you have very good form.

  • lolz i can only power clean 145, but im going to be a freshman this year, and i heard once you get to highschool, and play football, with all the training and hard work, weightlifting, you get huge. theres a kid that lives in my neighborhood and he was so weak, he was never strong, well since he's been at the highschool almost 4 years now, hes the 6th strongest kid in the school, he made the 900 club, are you in like the 800 club or what?

  • If you watch my new videos I clean 370, squat 550 and bench 330. So my total is 1250.

The 280 clean video was the summer before my sophomore football season.

Also, I was 15 at the time, I'm not sure why some find that so hard to believe.

  • damn texans football is life(thats a joke ) ahhah how long had you been lifting in this video ???

  • Shit! How long have you been training?, you are a legend. And if that is a home gym, I am impressed!

By the way, is that a goatee I see?

  • My dad is a strength coach and has been training me since 5th grade (that's over 7 years now). And it is a home gym lol.

  • I think the 'goatee' is just shadows lol and maybe some peach fuzz

  • Crikey that's a long time. What's your clean now?

  • look at my new vids now lol

  • im 14 im in the 600 club :D lol

  • we all know thats a lie.

  • lie? please explain to me how we would know that

  • still explain to me how im lying please i bench 170lb squat 280lb and clean 190 lb add that up and its 640 sooooooo 600 club duh

  • he doesnt look 15 at all...

  • That's impressive!!!!

but it really doesn't look like your 15.

  • how much u weigh

  • At that time about 215. Now, 260.

  • to helmet6513, just practice, i just graduated high school, i starated power cleaning my freshmen year and didnt get good form like you see powerlifters do with the front squat till my junior year, explode up keep your feet in and front squat it, start with lighter weight so you can realy emphasize good form

  • man i dont believe this guy is 15!!

i am 14 and i just founde out how to power clean .and i still cant do it right

  • dude i dont care how wide your feet are, that is impressive, good for you, lol, ill never get that shit hahaha

  • 280 at 15? please tell me you are playing football lol. thats pretty good bro

  • hey when i get heavier on my cleans(around 90-100% my max), my feet go really wide and i dont have this problem when i go lighter than that. any tips?

  • you see guys either go wide with their feet or go into a front squat like this kid (he doesnt go as far as say olympians but he still FS it rather than feet wide. Its just you getting lower so you can catch the bar. The lighter weight your feet should not be going out so you shouldnt need to get as low to catch it

  • well when i go heavy i cant get it up high enough so i front squat it up(i go past paralle)l with my feet wide lol. so idk.

  • If your feet shoot out to the side you are not doing it right.

  • HUGE 15 year old right there. If thats a home gym, damn mang

  • It is a home gym. lol

  • Ok. Lol I'm so jealous.

Someone, please give me your workout.

    Seriously haha

  • Get rid of the straps and I will be impressed

  • damn thats good man

i am only up to 260 for my clean i will get to were you are some day

  • nice job! a lot of people don't understand the powerful thrust backward of the upper trunk - lead by the head - to accommodate and facilitate the hips coming forward. this can be thought of as an "exchanging-of-position", from front-to-back, or in the sagittal plane as it were, between the lower trunk (hips) and upper trunk - again, lead by the HEAD. With that said, imo, this lift is not appropriate, or specific to most sports its crammed upon, like football.

  • wow its very rare to see somone with your height sticking it properly. very nice job.

  • that was very legit bro

  • holy. ur a monster

  • Comment removed

  • are those 3 45 plates cause that would be 315

  • 2-45's, 1-25, 1- 2 1/2 on each side.

    280 lbs. Total

  • Wooooo, good form! Perfect catch

  • Texas represent

  • beauty of a clean

  • dam, that's what i been tiring to get but i just can't do it

  • I been downhearted baby, I been downhearted baby, ever since the day we met.

  • lol, cause 1 pound of muscle weighs more than 1 pound of fat right?

  • I was so close to replying with "yes.."

  • Great lift, true power. I'm thinking about including cleans into my routine, but I need help. I do squats every other day, then I do weighted pull ups and overhead presses the next day. Any advice on how to incorporate cleans in my routine?

  • Are you fairly new to weight lifting? Because Starting Strength would be a good program that has cleans in it.

  • arent u only supposed to squat once a week maybe 2 at best?

  • the average youtube commenter should be squatting heavy three times a week...

experienced lifters squat a lot too but they do variations and alter the load all the time.

  • I know the difference. He needs to go lower than he does to receive the bar though. He is not underneath the weight like he needs to be to do the lift properly. I'm not saying he needs to go below parallel.

  • I am going to have to disagree with your assessment of his lift.

Why does he need to go lower when bar is completely racked on shoulders when it is caught.

There is absolutely know reason to drop down lower if bar is racked and athlete can stand up. I will refer you to 300 lb. clean and he doesn't even drop as low as the 280 lb. video.

  • djedition is right, he needs to drive under the bar more when he receives the weight which means going lower, that's not considered a squat clean (not power clean combo)it's the correct way to do it

  • A power clean is when bar is caught above parallel and athlete stands up.

A squat clean is caught lower than parallel.

If you look at the 318 lb. video you will see

    the difference.

  • thats how oyu power clean not clean to squat thats called power clean combo people go straight into a frontsquat and thats wrong good job dude

  • That is not bad at all my friend.......only thing that I saw wrong was the drop part or the "squat". A little lower when you catch the weight to increase your power output on your way up. Other than that that was great technique!!!!

  • that's awesome for a 15 yr old, i can barely do half that weight now.

  • Thats good, I'm getting pretty close to that. Do wrist wraps help a lot?

  • ur 15? dam ur a giant nice lift

  • good clean

  • wtf how do i train to do this aswell, how many years did it take you1

  • dats clean and jerk

  • no, its called a shrug.

  • no, its is calling the jumpsquat high

  • holy shit, i can't even squat that... only been lifting for a month though

  • anyone know the name of that soing in the backround???

obtw awesome clean great from. my best was my junior year in highschool at 275. good old days

  • primitive radio gods - standing outside a broken phone booth with money in my hand

  • damn nice

  • the bar damn near caught him in the chin on the bounce back up, close one

  • Yeah, but then it wouldn't be a power clean.

  • im tired of idiots saying this.

IT WOULDNT BE A POWER CLEAN ANYMORE.

  • Reaaaal nice job man. I can do 185 about 15-18 times depending on how I feel that day, so I dont know where that puts me for a max because I've never maxed on a clean b4. Great power clean though, for sure.Good job.
