Firstly, the EUFOR has limited capabilities, secondly they are NOT guns for hire, thirdly, the way the dollar is going, it would not come cheap - at all.
If you're looking for foreign mercs (i.e. if you're looking for another can of worms to open), there are (unfortunately) plenty of them in sub-Saharan Africa.

The rise of Blackwater during this administration is disturbing. For one thing, it has allowed this war to continue with minimal commitment by the US public. Rather than having to increase the military, and thus start a draft, the Bushies simply hire mercenaries. And instead of raising taxes--as we have in every war in the past--to pay for them, we borrow the $ from China, and stick our kids and grandkids with the bills.
What a way to run a foreign policy.

I watched coverage of the hearings, and boy I wanted to puke my lungs out. The case of the "contractor" drunkenly shooting the bodyguard of the VP of Iraq is simply unreal. The guy was fined "multiple thousands of dollars" and fired. Damn, that showed him.

Pats: The question is why after 10 months has nothing been done. The guy was fired and sent home after 2 days after the insident? Because the Justice Department heads by Alberto Gonzalez was Bush's lapdog! The State Department is run by Condi. Blackwater is IMMUNE from prosecution in Iraq. So of course they shoot first and ask questions later. They don't have to worry about any oversight.

Prince- the CEO- gave all this information about which justice codes they are subject to. He said that they are answerable to the UCMJ. If that's true, then the guy would be in jail.
If Blackwater is under any kind of realistic control from management, then they would immediately turn the guy over to the authorities.

there is 180,000 mercs in iraq makeing 1,000$ a day my brother is in the army in iraq makeing 1200 a month. he has 163,000 fellow soldiers over in that area with him..i dont know the numbers for all 160 areas we are in but damn it i am just finding out taht the United States is tring to be Great Britian cerca 1600..

Or about $200 plus annual per American citizen Wow that would mean the State dep. Would have an annual budget bigger than the military because the next question would be how many are in Afganistan?

The Iraq war is not included in the budget. It's being financed using supplementals. That's one of the problems. That's why your not seeing the money allocated in "the budget".
