i made a semi auto PKM and it's only 750-1000 g heavy... it sounds heavy but it shoots 20 meters

@PJMEncoreRainbows Check your rubber bands make sure pusher is stronger than the ram rod and make sure trigger is stronger than pusher

wow this is a really good gun but if you are trying to find n make a knex gun just for shooting at ur cousin r make A WAR i realy recommend u to get a BB GUN they r really good n they can go to 150 to 300FT per second n they r not expencive just 10 to 30 dollars n o yea machines guns too they r call AEG have fun and dont shoot another person it hurts

the trigger will only break if you put really strong rubber bands on

it wont shoot very far due to the fact you cant use very good rubber bands

removable magazines sound easy but need a whole new design to the firing mechanism for them to work and the actual semi automatics of this gun are just a seperate part to the whole gun the only part of the firing mechanism wich it is joined to is the piston, any more questions just ask

the good thing about this what i i call trigger working bolt mechanism is that because the bolt is being pushed back but at the same time it is being released when the trigger is being pulled back all the way, does not stop the gun to lack in range and power. but the bolt still does lack some power even at its fullest of power in general because of the mechanism id say i a person could make a gun with this mechanism that could shoot to a maximum of 20 to 30 ft. pretty decent if u think about it

great job a extremely smart design. btw people bolt action knex rifles r good, it depends how reliable and sturdy you make them. but the semi auto gun this guy made was a better rifle design. if someone were to just use his ideas and combine there own they could make a powerful, lethal knex gun, that could possibly shoot any projectile down range as far as a bolt-action rifle or as stupid people call, pump action or pull back.

yeah maybe, but the point isnt to rapidly spray a target by rapidly pressing the trigger. u want power, and range.

1) give up the rate of fire

2)and add more rubber bands to the firing pin

yes this will make the trigger harder to pull back, but if its strong enough, when u deliver a shot down range it will all be worth it hint hint 1 shot not 50 being sprayed at a target like a machine gun
