Hey, I still have my first one: a Motorola Internation. Yes, I still have the box... The manual it cam with was several hundred pages and very informative. It didn't have access to the phonebook when sending SMSes...
@MagicCadillac May be that the batteries were compatible (!!! Try that today !!!) If they were, both your and mine original batteries died. I had a high capacity one after that, but it made the cellphone look like a really huge brick.
We can check together. It's in my "parts" storage at our parents.
@jawtheshark Yes, I think the batteries where compatible with your old phone, I'm sure about that. I can believe that the batteries died, they are too old lol Will check that together out in Meispelt, I think it is there.
That's cool, I still have my first cell from the 90's, it was big and clunky. Not only have today's cell phones gotten smaller they can do a hell of a lot more than just make phone calls.
@tdjtx Just like my first, it was to big and only for phone calls. Yes, the cell phones today can do a lot of more things then the first phones and they are smaller.
My first phone had to be plugged into my car. The battery wouldn't last, and it cost almost $1 a minute for phone calls. They didn't have "plans" back then and there was no such thing as texting.
I wouldn't mind an iPhone, but I'm happy with what I have right now. Sprint now offers the iPhone, so next year I may get one.
@mbyr31 Well, that's a nice memory. Here too, you couldn't text with a phone and it almost was the same with calling, it was a lot of money that time if you would call.
Iphones are good phones, that's for sure but a little big for me, you got a lot of good apps on it.
I have had 8 different cell phones over the years...Taking them with me on the ocean is hard on them....I have an iPhone right now and it is a little on the big side but i love all the apps you can get for it ! Take care Kay !
@cisjohn2616 That's cool, on the ocean is hard I guess but it works I think. Well, I had in total seven cell phones, different brands but it was ok. That^s good at those iphones that you got a lot of apps for them you don't get for other phones, that's the good part of it. Thanks John, you take care too.
Samsung is a good brand thats all i buy the last cell phone i bought before i got a new one last year the thing was so old but it still would work if i could find a charger for it but it is and obsolete the charger died the phone is still good as new lol
@redneck2010ize Yes, Samsung is a very good brand and they work till the end and longer. The S5200 is my second Samsung and I stay with that brand, my first Samsung was a D600 and at the end the battery was weak, so I had to charge it two times a day, then I buy this one lol
@MagicCadillac MY LAST ONE WAS A U340 IM STILL LOOKING FOR A CHARGER BOUGHT IT IN 2006 LASTED THOUGH MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL ITS STILL GOT A NUMBER TO IT I COULDNT CHANGE THE NUMBER TO A NEW PHONE BECAUSE I COULD NOT REMEBER WHAT MY PASS WORD NUMBER WAS SO I GOT A NEW NUMBER WHEN I GOT A NEW ONE
I remember my first cell phone was mounted in my truck. If you wanted to go mobile with it you had to move it the the shoulder strap brief case. Time have changed. Beam me up Scotty!!!
Thats pretty cool! I didnt know pioneer made cellphones. It looks like and old motorola phone, I wander if it is the same? I have never owned any kind of phone other than motorola, I wouldnt even know how to act with a different brand, lol! Kevin is a trip isnt he? I love his videos, they are hilarious!
@utoobube It is yes. Pioneer made a few phones in the beginning they existed but they didn't build for long cell phones. Well, Motorola is not a bad brand, I never had one but I know people with Motorola's. Kevin is a great guy and hi makes good videos. Thanks buddy

Hi Kay

Phones sure have come far. I remember our first car phone, it had a cord to a small suitcase... the antenna was wired to the car roof, it was huge!
oldchevy4x4 1 month ago
@oldchevy4x4 I think phones and computers are the things who evolute the most of everything. In the beginning cell phones where huge.

Great video, I remember my first one at that time they were so costly that I went with the pay as you go one, man was that a big rip off.
I like the one I have now plain and simple, and also a samsung.
