Wait til you see the new ones for our updated line up. New engines, trannys, mounts. we will be offering super high revving engines for thrill seekers.
Awesome video. If I lived in a place where I wouldn't be riding bike paths, a little gasser with a friction drive would be the way to go. Simplicity and efficiency at its finest!
@MegaDeros well honestly the coal its going to take to charge your bike is going to be less green. the highest electric bike range i have seen is 50 miles. if he is being honest his gets 220 mpg. which is major. that means he can go a long way on a little amount of energy :D
In my opinion, this is a terrible build. The unit in the video was specifically built for me. I had to return it and was not refunded all of my money. I have a much better unit from Staton that has been effortless to use with no wear and tear. The friction unit in this video was sent to me with razor sharp edges and an inferior build in my opinion. My new Staton unit is excellent. Look up motorized recumbent trike. That's me going up Mt. Lemmon.
friction drive is better in my words, because its so simple and hardly anything can ever go wrong with them and require less matinence , and there safer because theres no chain to worry about breaking or slapping around and the drive rollers on the kits are interchangeable, meaning it will accommodate any size rider up to 300 pounds, so go ahead and get this friction drive bikes, they are the best! i even have a video on my youtube to prove it,
Yeh, that's great. We started selling just engine mounts as many people have old weed eaters. Just have to drill your engine bolt pattern if it is not a DIN ISO that comes with our certified engines. I have some mounts for Italian engines as well.
Usre the aggregate wheel or arbor included with system. It does not hydroplane as would rubber, urethane, steel, aluminum, or plastic. Aggregate is great because it is porous. And does not get hot, even when it is dry.
Those recumbent trikes are fun, but they are notorious for tipping on two wheels easily. I give you props for steering that thing with one hand ........ at 40 mph.
Do you sell a kit per say for adding that onto a trike? And what brand of trike/model is used in this video? Lastly, if you do sell a kit, how much and does it require some automotive knowledge to install it? Because I know nothing passed a regular pedal bicycle.
I used to run a weedeater for a living 10 hrs a day sometimes, and I'd store extra fuel in 1 Liter coke bottles wired to hang on my belt. Just never use the Green bottles, they may melt or catch fire.
Thanks. For a minute I thought you were suggesting tires at 1ea@$100 ! hahaha.
So I suppose you can just run nashbar city slickers or tiogas. Cool.
I am shopping around for a kit to make my moped bike. So far I'm drawn most to your design. I like 2str engines and I like how it can go on a different bike later.
For a bike, the professional series ENCORE with 2 stroke is very quiet and will return 200 mpg. It is the one the auto starts just like the big Honda on the trike. $599 4 gears included. Includes fuel pump so any container can be used for fuel. Fir laughs, I prefer Gatorade bottles if in a pinch to carry extra fuel.
Each tire assuming you buy three at about $100, each tire trough rotation is good for 800 to 1000 miles if driven at full speed. which is 35 to 45, as shown is geared to do 50. If you drive as say 25, there really is no appreciable wear. (vulcanized rubber) Since a tire represents a neumatic belt drive a quality tire makes sense.
i have the same model bike only a older version.i put a phoenix hub motor on it and am really happy. r bike is a lot faster than mine tho.i get a little nervous at 20+mph.i had to have my tire rims rebuilt in the back and my hub motor in on the front.i have about 3000 miles on my bike with no motor problems.i can go about 25 miles with no peddling.i put the motor on my bike because i heard it was illegal to pedal azz.well im also disabled and it helps me pass those guys in spandex too.have fun
? Bike wheels are designed for .2 hp not two horsepower. Tires can handle 2 hp. Since we drive the tire, it is not a problem. Knurled steel friction rollers chew up tires. We don't use them.
No one has been trashed, its the crash from breaking bicycle wheels. vs wearing out a bicycle tire. And we cannot derail, period. We build chain drive trikes as the chain gear drives the axle. I can recommend them. One cannot do that with a bicycle. On bikes they drive the hub, or the spokes. Not the axle.
Its a bicycle! Belts or chains are new comers to bicycles. read more! Here's the deal spelled out. BELT drives the cause the spokes on almost all bikes to friction rub right were they lace. What happens, they break. Our friction arbor drive can't jump and pushes only the tire. Chain is more efficient than the belt, but must have a gear box. If cruising at 30+mph, engine RPM 5000, and skid your rear wheel, bye bye spokes. Again bicycle spokes are not designed for this? Motorcycle wheels yes.
Right on.Thanks for that demonstration. Its a motivator. The more these kinds of machines are on the road the more the dept. of motor vehicles will have to make room for them.Hopefully in a good productive way.
It is nice to know that laws are in our favfor. Cars have dominated for so many years, many tend to not want to share the road. This is when cruising at higher speeds lends safety, instead of insanity.
Which, when you consider the Psssst off driver, means "we" as bicyclist even with an engine, still need to watch our rear view mirror.
Hey great work! Im losing my license for a year and I know it is legal to operate an electric bicycle. My plan to kind of cheat the system, because I cant use a gasoline motor to drive the bike, is to use a gasoline generator. Thing is I dont know much about electric motors or batteries and what kind of set up would suit me best.
Our engineering fits 95% of all bikes. We cost less and use only Japanese engines. We offer 4 gear ratios standard. We offer neutral. We follow CSPC regulations, and comply to DOT standards for Motor Vehicle exclusions.
Since we drive the tread of the tire, you need not worry about catastrophic spoke failure. Hence we don't mind if folks want the thrill of speed. The reason the speed exists from R and D was to promote quiet touring, fewer emissions, and better fuel economy from the low RPM's
Someone complained I did not come to a full stop, and that I was breaking the law. I replied I had a camera in on than with only one hand to turn so I let the engine idle me around the corner. Thats all
I think I would at least stop at stop signs. Weird looking rigs like this get enough attention anyway, so might as well obey the law unless you love paying for tickets.
Yes I made to right turns without completely stopping. If I am in the bicycling lane, at 3 mph idling, no traffic coming, I don't stop and put my feet down. I would not do that for left's and to go straight. Perhaps if I was not holding a camera, and operating an under steer trike, might show I had no free hand to operate brakes...and as such all right turns. To get you folks video, things like that will happen. Do NOT DO THIS AT HOME.
One can turn in a ticket within three business days to the court clerk marked, "Refused For Cause" because it is a commercial instrument per the Uniform Commercial Code. 'Has worked for me and many others. Ride safe as necessary and enjoy!
If it was a short wheel base you might feel it. But this trike is so long it has no noticable effect. But in those regards, I must say that under braking all trikes puul dramatically to the left or right. The USX does not due to the dual rear disk brakes controlled by a single brake control, as brakes apply must more force than an engine can...
man your bad for the cause!no one can see u and your gonna scare the shit out of people and then no more motorized bikes.atleast put a couple red flag thingys on your bike please!
