With the girl who cried, it would have been great to see her be like no no and then the guy says, well ok come on back and then whoops *pushes her off* >=D
I did this 2 years ago on my 20th birthday! i never thought i would bungy in my life. while i was in NZ, i did 4 jumps in 2 days! This one is AMAZING!!! the first jump i did was the 47m over the Kawarau river, then this the following day. If you consider doing it, just DO IT! you will regret it forever. as soon as i was dangling at the bottom, i remember thinking FUCKING YES! it's the best achievement ever! Just force yourself off the edge and have the ride of your life!
That'll be right, talk all hard about jumpin off, but when your actually doing it, it's like ur gonna piss your pants!! NZ is the place to be!!! I'm diggin' this vid...
I'd probably totally do this.. I just did Bloukrans Bridge last month in South Africa.. and I'm petrified of heights. Just had to do it cause I was there.. but it definitely eased up my fears a bit.
ahahahhahqa 1:08 i dont wanna do lol i dont wanna do it u should c the bungee jump in south africa bloukrams bride 710 ft try that if ur scared i did i said sorry dad!
@powers86rule I didnt have enough money to do it in the end. I spent it all partying in queenstown... I'll probably be going back next year so hopefully third time lucky!! I did have a few mates that did it though and they LOVED it...
this is the wildest thing i've ever done. i feel it in my gut when i see those guys jump. I wanna do it again, and at the same time, i really don't want to do it. It's just crazy!
I did this six years ago. Watching them take the jump off the ledge made my stomach tighten the same way it did that day. Glad I did it. Never doing it again. I did feel sorry for the poor jumpmasters though looking at those girls whine and cry. I figure people bail once in a while, and many many hesitate before jumping, but to cry like a newborn baby? Good job AJ Hackett guys.
good stuff!, what is funny is the order in which you jump is determined by weight.......and i was second to go by just 1kg at 89!. I wouldn't have been to happy to have gone first!!!!!!. Watching someone go in front of you to 'test it out' gives you a bit of reassurance! :-p . The drive up on the dirt road was a bit hairy at times with the sheer drop on the left ha ha ha!!!!!!
I dunno, I had to go towards the end and it was pretty nerving to have to see everyone go. And when they jump there is that really loud noise, remember? Like a pop from the thing that holds the rope. You don't hear it when you are jumping but when I was siting there watching everyone before me it kept making me jump. That loud pumping music and glass in the floor and my nerves were insanely intense! So, worth it though!! Loved it!!!
A couple of things stood out for me. First that it was so quiet a second after jumping out, but by the time the cord kicked in the wind was roaring past ears!. Second, i tried to shout when i jumped out but didn't manage to get any words out!. Went back in 2006 and did the canyon swing, that was wicked too - loads of variations of jumps. The buzz on the way back in to Q-town from Nevis in the minibus was great. Just seems so long ago now!. You can hear that noise you mention on the DVD too.
I want to go back and do it again, but mostly just so that I can be in NZ again. So amazing there...the people, the sights, the hiking/camping. AMAZING!
Never saw so many shades of green, and so vibrant!
A great place. Been a couple of times, most of the time in a campervan. Prefer south island to the north as its easier going. Its hard to sum up, its just the whole package. It was july the 1st time i went, did a skydive by Fox Glacier.......felt like my head had been frozen it was that cold!. Parked up at Milford Sound cooking a steak for dinner, amidst the great scenery and misty water.....
ha ha ha, did this jump in 2002 the morning after a heavy night on shotover street!. Standing out on the edge of Auckland Sky Tower fan descended jump is awesome - looking down on the city centre traffic - but it is tame as hell as you're descent is regulated!. Canyon Swing is excellent!.
yeah im only 14 now and i did the smallest one when i was 13 and i was shit scared at that lol and i wanna do this one but my mum sais u can detatch ur retina and then u have to have a lotta stuff done to even be able to see vaigly again :S how was ur jump?
Jump was amazing! It's quite empowering..like I can do anything after the jump. I haven't heard of the "eyes" issue but rest assured that you'll be ok. Good luck!
Great job guys.... nice video cuts as well.... the memories last forever!!! Its an amazing high right after...never knew why people could parachute but not bungy lol.... I uploaded the video that you could get with your jump... it was scary as shit and I used to have a fear of heights til this day. Peace... Jer
