Look up songs of the Revolutionary War and the Civil War; (Ashokan Farewell especially for Civil War). Eventually these evolved into more modern Rock, Jazz, Soul, etc. etc. Listen to some of the music we listened to in the times of our early war and it makes you proud to be an American!
