Let's face it. This was not a worthy adaption of Christopher Paolinis book. But it still was not a bad movie. Jeremy Irons was a star, John Malcowich was just awesome as Galbatorix, the score is so epic and they spiced the battle against Durza up. I just can't understand, why they cut away scenes with Katrina, Sloan, The Twins and the blessing of Elva. But after my opinion, it was a bad adaption but a great film.

I hope someone takes the book, writes a brilliant script, because, let's be honest - as awful as the film's script was, Paolini's writing isn't really that much better, at times, and makes the movies that the series has the potential to make.

I like the movie at the end much better than the book. The book, no offense, was very dull and not exciting. The director did the right thing with the battle and saphira's injury. However, I agree that the movie in general went by too fast and left many important details out. But I love the music!
I liked the movie I guess but it felt like they rushed it along too fast. For those who haven't read the book it was like,"Ok, random woman we know nothing about but everyone else seems to". While we are at it lets skip most of the character development and transition right from ignorant child to hero. exelent movie, saphirea is just as i imagined her to look, but arya was supost to have back hair and be mush more pretty and tomboyish and not make sounds when she stabs people. durza is pretty acrurat, but the messed up the plat line, wich is a totall bummer, but still, good sound track. it was a fab book.

love the theme song... the movie was very inaccurate but i still kinda liked it in a way (they did embody some of the charecters very well) and i wish that they would either remake eragon or make eldest (cant wait for the fourth book)

i liked the casting, except for angela and the urgals, where's horns, they looked like old, dirty bikers in the movie.

exelent movie, saphirea is just as i imagined her to look, but arya was supost to have back hair and be mush more pretty and tomboyish and not make sounds when she stabs people. durza is pretty acrurat, but the messed up the plat line, wich is a totall bummer, but still, good sound track. it was a fab book.
