This camera was great. Someone stole it from me at a BJ's restaurant in Culver City, CA. They don't even have the battery charger. And there were pictures of me on it! SOB! Great camera. But I'm upgrading to a FujiFilm S1500. But I still wish I could annihilate the theif.

Yes it does. However, with a computer made at least two years ago, you don't need a USB cable, just pop the SD card into the card reader.

I have this exact same camera, and most of my YouTube videos were filmed with it! It still worked after being dropped numerous times and being partially submerged in water. The battery also continued to work after going through both the washer and the dryer. I accidentally broke my first J10, and I now have another one, which I love!

I was wandering: how much time does J10 take to save an image if you use the finest resolution?

As I know, for some digital cameras, they take quite long time to save an pic into SD and users have to wait seconds to take next shot.:P

Before I broke it, It takes all of 5 seconds to save a 8.3mp picture on a regular 1gb sd card

All of those pics were taken in the default mode (Auto Flash, Auto ISO, etc) and without a tripod...I guess a steady hand and good lighting are my recommendations. If you have trouble keeping steady, i would recommend a small tripod...I did a review of the Targus Grypton Pro portable tripod (see my channel if you wish to view it)...it works nicely for me.

yeah i got a lot of comments of people saying that i just got a crappy camera (the specific camera i bought). so, i'm going to delete that video. but ... for those of you who live near a walmart and have 50 more dollars, the Kodak ZD8612 is a much better camera and has 12x optical zoom. but still this camera is good :D

ok so i bought this camera a while back becuz my old fujifilm was just outdated i like the camera to take pictures of things but when i take ones of myself even if i put the camera on a tripod or hold it i become all washed out or the background is super dark i usually keep it auto. ive read the manual over and over again...im frustrated becuz my webcam takes better pictures. what am i doing wrong.

Hmmm, if you are really close to the camera when trying to take a picture of yourself, you might try turning on "macro" mode (click the left direction on the D-pad...that mode is for taking closeups of flowers and such, but might work for this...if not just cycle through the different modes until it works out...trial and error.

Without an SD? Very few...like all cameras now, the megapixel quality is so high, that pictures are increasingly get bigger...an SD card is pretty much needed to take more than like 10-15 pics

It definitely doesn't feel cheap and it takes really good pics overall (see examples in the info bar). Night pics are decent too (as you can see in the fireworks shot). I took pics non stop all day (8am-8pm ish) on a single charge. I use a 2GB Sandisk Ultra II SD card and it runs normal speed

No problem, the video is decent (if you've seen any of my other reviews, I've been using this camera for the video). Unfortunately there is no face detection but there is red eye fix and image stabilization mode...For the pics in the info bar, yes I just pointed and shot the pics...no tripod, no special mode (just Auto mode).

Well, on my trip to Washington DC, I would be taking tons of pictures (deleting the one's I didnt like, etc) and it just started to get low as I was getting back to the hotel (woke up at 7am came back at 5pm). So I'm not sure of an exact number, but it's definitely long (and it recharges quick).
