It's funny to see percussionist Ray Cooper with these jazz guys. Does anybody know who the bass player is? He's got a cool fretless sound!

Can't compare them...two different stylists...Benson is essentially a Hard-Bopper, Mclaughlin is a fusion player...they can both play over changes , but they differ in phrasing, tone, ideas, vocabulary.
