The price of oil contains many hidden costs. None of these are acceptable costs. They are hidden because they are unacceptable to civilized culture and include the lives of now millions of civilians. 9/11 was an atrocity no question. But who remembers the 4000 civilians the US military killed in Operation Just Cause when we bombed 35 separate sites in Panama in one night. Our foreign policy is simply this - blood for profit.
Lot's of Americans are going to have a hard time feeling bad for a 16 year old who is the child of an "enemy". This is because most Americans are heavily propagandized morons. It was murder, straight up, ordered by the president of the United States.
Did they lie? When don't they lie dude? Every time they murder a child they lie unless caught, 100% of the time.
a tape of young Omar working in weapon assembly plant was shown, and a segment of him grinning over how he's gonna kill american bastards when they come over.
sure he was underage and what not, but if that's the kind of sentiment he has about north america, Canadians wouldn't welcome him anyway. this guys' mind is already set to be a terrorist soldier, 4 year of confinement in jail will not change that.
@residualwealth some guy watches child porn on the internet got caught and jailed. he didn't harm any person in real life, why not release him and let him live with you?
@evil99019 Why on earth would I live with a stranger? Do you think it's okay to kill kids even if they don't commit a crime? People don't go to jail for saying that they're thinking of killing someone. This isn't a Tom Cruise movie.
No one will run this story or care because he is Muslim and has a Muslim name. The funny thing is, if there was a Christian fundamentalist in this country and we executed him people would be talking about it. And if we killed his son just because of that relationship between the two there would be outrage.
@Davitofrito Well since everyone goes on the internet now (even in third world countries) I think almost everyone is.
Oh and noone gives a fuck about the kid because the government blocks it, also everyone is tired of the BLACK PEOPLE ARE POOR MAN!!!! stories, plus the illegal stories is just old too and patrically little people even are against illegals. Also war doesn't mean killing innocents, that is why we have the Geneva Convention and Rules of War.
@blechtic If my dad was a high valued highly sought after target, and I was killed in an attack by an enemy force against him, I wouldn't complain. I would've stuck by him.
@MetalSights If your Dad was on one of those planes during the 9/11 hijacking. He would be a "high valued highly sought after target, killed in an attack by an enemy force against him". And you shouldnt complain.
@MetalSights You are talking about cultural practices & unjust laws. Im talking about the poorly equipped insurgency fighting for their religion. They dont see it the way you do, they think youre an infidel. As crazy as they are, the insurgencies known as "terrorists" by many are reverting to "dirty" tactics & strategies. Because countries like the U.S. have overwhelming firepower, resources, technology & alliances at their disposal. And you think theyre fighting "unfair"?
@TheMedievalMan Well, the media makes it slightly unfair. The taliban could kill a mini bus full of 2 dozen people in a random ambush, and it would be written down as a figure and put aside. If the US had killed a couple in an actual firefight/conflict, it's all over the news about war crimes and shit.
don't mean to shout political bias; but that's how it is.
@MetalSights Its common among people to be one sided on just about everything. The media is runned by liberals who are mostly against the war. The Muslim insurgency is deeply fundamental in their thinking. To them, all non-Muslims are targets. They see this as a holy war with no innocents, and no rules. We should just leave them alone, and understand that they are crazy. And to go to their countries is like sticking your hand in a fire ants nest, and wonder why they sting.
@TheMedievalMan Those little shits will overthrow the government eventually. And get bigger weapons. And then a huge shit storm. Imagine the power of Afghanistan or Iraq, except fucking insane and full of Sharia.
@MetalSights Islam really shouldnt be a real concern for the U.S. If anything, Islam is a problem for Europe, they are the ones who have to deal with their migrants. The only reason why they are fighting us, is because the U.S. has a tendency to get involved in foreign affairs that it should not concern itself over. If it wasnt for that, Islam would be an Israeli/European problem right about now. And something Americans would read about, or watch on the news.
I just noticed you apparently started including your sources directly in your videos (0:15). Very good! I hope you continue doing this consistently! Quite often I would look for the sources via google but not find the exact source or merely blogposts of it or whatever. Thanks and keep up the good work.
@GnSGreening I understand what youre saying but I doubt he means that. I think hes just saying you would think a government wouldnt treat its own people as an enemy
If you look at what happened here, you will see that the victory is actually with Awlaki, his messages are being looked at more an more by normal people to see why America wanted to kill him and his teenage son. He has been elevated in the media, the very thing they wanted to avoid.
Its called Collateral Damage... We are at war... im an American citizen, and i would never go to a bbq with Members of any terrorist organization.. and if i did go... i would expect a bomb to land on my head....
Cenk, I love you, and I hate to do this to you, but the fact that you imply that killing american citizens is worse than citizens of another country is absolutely disgusting. I'm from Canada, does the fact that I was born 100 miles north of somebody in Seattle make my life less valuable than his? Yeah, didn't think so.
The fresh smell of troll in the fine morn. I can't wait till the Gov. comes and rapes the women in your family while you watch and then cut off you penis and let you die while you are forced into labor at a femacamp for the rest of your trololololing life.
Obama got you kicked off of MSNBC, so you better watch your back Cenk. Stop going so hard against Obama or you might be the next target. That is if you think our government kills just for the heck of it.
Obama is like killing everyone now. What the hell, the first few people, Bil Laden and Gadaffi I was happy about, but this little curly headed boy couldn't have done anything to deserve being killed like that. This is so sad!
@Bulldog76center Go look at yourself in a mirror; now look at your Father; now look at your children... now look at your comment. Evil breeds evil. Are you absolutely sure and right? Sad, just very sad.
@Chubearishere you're right, but my evil loves i america and hates dirty muslim extremists who i want to kill and tear limb from limb and im glad that teenager died! FUCK HIM AND HIS FUCKING TERRORIST ANTI AMERICA FAMILY!!!!! FUCK THEM!!!!!!
@Bulldog76center Are you for real? When you have a family , a son, and look back on that comment you will regret it. If you look at what happened here, you will see that the victory is actually with Awlaki, his messages are being looked at more an more my normal people to see why America wanted to kill him and his teenage son. He has been elevated in the media, the very thing they wanted to avoid.
if the father was an American working for Al-Qeida, that's treason. treason is punishable by death, there's your due process. However, why did we blow up the Son? However why is Cenk surprised they didn't say anything? They usually don't release who was actually a target of a drone strike.
Except it's now being shut down because of the payment companies that decided to block donations to it. Every last ounce of freedom and corporate & government responsibility is disappearing.
@pir8prod big no .. they are not monsters .. your liar government SAYS SO. what is the proof that he is al Qaida ? TELL me ?
yemen is not at war with USA .. u cant even bomb peoplthere .. its like china killing a chinese defect in USA with US bystanders around him and thn say all are terrorist and anti chinese cos they are at the same place
or UK bombing a town in USA killing IRA member and teens around him and then say they are ALL IRA coz they are together
Oh, shit I was just planning a vacation to Yemen. Why the fucked would an average U.S.citizen travel to Yemen in the first place. What have we become? A fucking politically correct world policeman who needs to get back to it's roots and culture and butt the fuck out of every other nations business. We fucking kill the poor bastards over there and then invite them in over here. This fucking nation is now bat shit crazy and getting more nutty by the hour.
@xxdonaldqxxx At least according to the boy's family, he went to Yemen to find his father, whom he had not seen in years.
I don't know the story behind what went on at their meeting--whether he went to join his cause, to talk him out of it, or just to try and understand why he left him and his family behind--but I don't know that there has been any actual evidence he was involved in any terrorist activity.
At least, nothing beyond "guilt by association," which is what I believe TYT's point is.
Cenk, you shouldn't mention that the guy was a US citizen as if it id at all significant, it is the least important bit of information. It doesn't make murdering civilians at will any less immoral and illegal.
america is no longer a democracy.its become a terrorist maybe a dictator nation, where the government can do is not limited and can do anything it wants.
The U.S never followed the path of Western Europe in enforcing and further developing their democracy.
.
25 years after Nazi Germany abolished their Nuremberg Laws, the U.S still was having trouble overcoming crazy conservative white supremacists bitching about states' rights and big government encroaching on their traditional values in the south.
As with everything progressive, the civil rights movement was just branded communist.
I hope they investigate and subsequently publish all the documents involving the operations of Guantanamo Bay once the current generation of corrupted politicians are outta office. People should call the government out for those "secret" activities, I bet there's something about them they don't know either. What are they protecting besides their own hides?
Cenk brings up a good point. Where do we stop? Where do we draw the line? So are we going to start killing babies now? Is it justified because they are the children of our enemys because they pose a future threat? Did this kid even do anything wrong other than being in yemen and in the company of bad men?
What have you become? You've become a country divided by grandstanding loudmouth political talk show hosts -- on the right and the left
The government warning about the threat of violence in Yemen is in reference to the internal strife in that country. Even my country, Canada, has issued a similar warning, and it's not because we are dropping bombs on Yemeni's heads. If our embassy didn't issue such a warning, it wouldn't be doing their job. What's wrong with the U.S. gov't doing the same?
His father was an American citizen who did "propoganda against the United States"--- excuse me but isn't another word for that Freedom of Speech? They executed a US citizen for exercising his rights to speek freely! And now they murder his 16-year-old child! Many Arabs believe the US is evil--- it's difficult to argue against that feeling!
@MultiSamTaylor Are you ignoring the fact that he was a member of Al Qaeda and actively helping them? You know, that group that has killed thousands of civilians around the world. That's a bit more than just speaking out against the US.
@klShadowDragon this fact is not proven . actually first USA didnt mention they killed him with al-banna , thye said hey killed a 21 years old son of awkali. after it turned to be he was 16 years old and USA lied , suddenly they said oh he was wih Albanna
add to it this guy was with his cousine too and in that area its tribal ... all are famile related if one of them is Alqiadia doesnt mean the whole tribe is alqaida.. just family GOT IT? TRIBAL
@x1ph0s No, I don't approve of that. I was just responding to someone claiming that inciting violence through propaganda is protected by Freedom of Speech. It isn't.
Were there evil people at this barbecue? Probably.
Should that boy have been there? Absolutely not!
Did the culpable parties deserve to be punished for their heinous crimes? Absolutely.
But should the United States make it an established practice to kill US citizens--intentionally OR unintentionally--without trial, without indictment, and without warning?
This is a dangerous precedent. Even traitors like John Walker Lindt at least got their day in court. Same for Bradley Manning.
@dkamouflage sometimes, its not worth the trouble to try and bring them to justice. Why waste time and money trying to catch them? just bombing them is much easier. Sounds cruel and unjust, but this is the world we live in.
But I think we would be well-served to at least make a SHOW of due process--for old times' sake, if nothing else. If the gov. can't get/be bothered to get an indictment to formally ACCUSE a US citizen of terrorism, but kills him anyways, it implies that they're inconvenient, irrelevant, or both.
Don't get me wrong--IMO, the man issued taped CONFESSIONS of his own guilt. However, the law exists for a reason, and if we start to forget the law, we start to forget the reasons
It's one thing for the US to kill a US citizen in combat. John Walker Lindt was shot in combat, and if he had died--hey, you reap what you sow.
But that's not what happened here. This was a TARGETED KILLING. And unless the Geneva Conventions have redefined "combat" (again), then this falls short. This is important, because when a gov. kills its citizens outside of sanctioned combat and w/ no judicial oversight, there's a special word for it:
@dkamouflage the 'war on terror' has no bounds and no end. that's the plan - endless war for profit while people die. Human life is worthless unless you can end it with bombs and bullets paid for by other humans, and the cycle repeats in perpetuity, until the planet of the apes scenario comes true, which it will someday.
So Obama has resorted to killing American children. This case gives me the chills.. I have no doubt that the government would blow up a school full of children just to kill a hiding robber.
@bobomongomon - So if one President is a murdering SOB, all Presidents can be? That's a great way to run a country, time for real change, time for a third party.
@McamelyneII I totally agree! How can we make that happen? Who can we have? I am soooo ready! And I campaigned for Obama, knocking on doors, making calls, holding meetings,...he has disappointed me so badly. We need a Ted Kennedy, a Martin Luther, a John Lennon.
@krss12 - Well, you can support me on Americans Elect. I am running for President as a Green you can check out my website mikeballantine2012 org. Join Americans Elect and help elect a people's President.
And now, they're also introducing a bill that will allow the government to lie to us by telling us there are no documents regarding our FOIA requests when there actually are. We're so fucked.
@visionary138 What do the 9/11 conspiracy theories have to due with this? Al-Queda was responsible for the events back then. Now I'll admit that this story is tragic. We had no right to kill these two teenagers. That doesn't mean that 9/11 was orcestraded by the U.S government. This is all a result of those events. Questioning the legitimacy of tragic events like that make you sound crazy. Most conspiracies are crazy. Especially that one
I can not believe the number of stupid people. It is frightening, and so sad. If you watch FOX news, you are one of those people. Know some FACTS stop listening to the OPINIONS of these evil LYING talking heads, scripted everyday to make people like you dumber than you already are. Do some research, FOX is a Murdoch propaganda MACHINE. REELING you in hook, line and motherfuckin' sinker. This is a FACT.
@Jex134 YOU IDIOTS WHO SAY the U.S is terroristic DONT UNDERSTAND THE GRAND PICTURE!
We are the police & the terrorists are the gangsters. The police MUST PROTECT the innocent from the gangsters!
This means making tough decisions that NOT EVERYBODY will understand. Sometimes we make mistakes. in fact~ most people wont understand & then whine about it.
I ♥ my government & i respect them for making tough unpopular decisions to protect us!
ANYBODY WHO COMPARES US TO NAZIS NEEDS 2 GTFO!!!!!!!
@ilisbaani I don't understand the "grand picture" because I regard American-made fear based propaganda (a.k.a terrorism) in the same way as I regard Al Qaeda or Taliban based terrorism? I think its YOU who doesn't get the "grand picture" here.
.
Al Qaeda uses fear to coerce people into submitting to their will---the U.S government uses fear to coerce people into submitting to their will. Why is it wrong when Al Qaeda does it but righteous glorious sweet victory when the U.S does it? PROPAGANDA
@Jex134 Because Al Qaeda targets civilians while the U.S. targets Al Qaeda. Yeah we terrorize terrorists. Let's not forget who threw the first punch here.
Yea according to them, you did in violating their holy lands. But you people, as well as they, are brainwashed ismpleminded conservative militants who refuse to see eachothers' and other perspectives since logic and reason are beyond you and your gods.
.
Their view that it was the U.S who started by placing troops in Saudi Arabia or whatever is no less valid than yours about 9/11.
To f.e say this kid's death is legitimate as collateral damage applies to 9/11 as well.
@JDBlessin easy .. making US citizens believe they are under continious threat justifying any WARS he wants to do..
IRAQ for example which had nothing to do with 9-11 .. I remember in the early days of the invasion and killing a US soldier said .. when ever I feel sorry for killiong Iraqis i tke out a photo of WTC and feel ok to continue.
Middle east is very rich land they want to control it. and steal it all. and the perfect thing to do is demonizing them terrorists without proof
@JDBlessin coz his plan is not only IRAQ , his Plan was demonizing Mulsim Jihadists and demonizing Jihad itself .. Jihad was USA ally against USSR in Afghanistan and it succeeded in defeating the USSR. after they were of no use anymore for USA , and after they started fighting for justice in other places which USA didnt want. they made this thing up .
be sure Saudi Arabia , IRAN will be attacked at some point.
@snaforfun if I had a nickel for every time I heard this. Look, I'll explain to you exactly why the 9/11 attacks where not an inside job, and it's quite simple: Since the "9/11 is in an inside job" shenanigans started (which i am convinced was born completely out of hate for George Bush more than actual fact), not one official document has been uncovered in connection with the plan...
@snaforfun (part 2) To say that no official documents of "operation let's blow up the world trade center ourselves (or something to that effect) being found would be saying our government can actually cover its tracks. Over the past 30 years (Watergate, information saying the US Army was spying on the civil rights movement, the uncovered hoax that started the Nam War) we've seen that no one in the...
Respond to this video... (part 3) United States Government even knows what a document shredder is. And given the lack of IQ in the Bush administration, do you really think any of them (if this was a planned attack) would of been smart enough to get rid of the documents? remember, we're talking about the admin. that saw the Pres choke on a Pretzel (among other things), and the VP shoot a guy in the face while Quail hunting
@Jex134 Saying someone fighting terrorism who occasionally commits an injustice is a terrorist is almost as inane as saying an executioner should be executed for murder. It's simply beyond the pale. Oh and by the way, buddy, Canada helps us in our war on terror. O Canada, you appear to be a terrorist state.
@Vyna80 My comment was in regards to how the U.S government consistently uses lies and scare tactics against its own citizens and foreign nations to ensure its will comes to fruition---using fear in the exact same way terrorists do.
@Jex134 Maybe, but you have to look at the intent behind the actions. The jihadists want to return us to the 10th century and the US wants to spread democracy. In my opinion, the Islamic fundamentalist "terrorists" are a scourge that needs to be wiped off the face of the planet if the human species is to thrive.
@Vyna80 The U.S doesn't go to war to "spread democracy", it goes to war strictly for profits. Profits from military contracts, profits from rebuilding infrastructure, and profits from plundered resources. Its the military industrial complex---the business of war.
Take Iraq f.e, the U.S first used the WMD lie, then the al-Qaida connection possibility lie and not before both these were foiled as valid casus belli did they go to excuse number 3, force "liberation" on Iraq.
.
Furthermore it's fairly easy to see in history the intent of U.S foreign policy, of the over 40 coups and civil wars instigatedb y the U.S during the Cold War, how many were done to implement democracy?
You also forgot, intentional targeting and killing of innocent civilians for political or ideological goals. So shut your smart mouth. "terroristic method" yeah like killing innocent people on purpose to cause fear. That is terrorism, you stupid buttfuck. How you got 61 thumbs, I'll never know. Bunch of you are not even Americans, fucking pussies.
@luckyStrike89ru I found this nonsense to be sincerely hilarious.
.
FYI my comment was in regards to how the U.S. uses fear-based propaganda to coerce people---exactly in the same way terrorists use fear. Thanks for using your head before spewing forth a paragraph of aggression and idiocy. Glad to still see people enforce the "stupid violent American."
@Jex134 Hey dummy. Atleast people here have a choice between choosing medias or not watching anything at all, atleast its not state controlled, its position controlled. As in corporate or affiliate etc, its people's businesses, not state crap. I personally get my news from multiple sources(foreign and domestic) to fish out the BS on serious issues. But calling us terrorist because of it is beyond idiotic, its almost as though your desperate as fuck to call us "terrorist". Muslim-Canadian eh?
@Jex134 Yes, US has its problems. But compare us to dictatorships in ME and N Africa, Asia etc, we are friggin angels. If those OWS hippies even tried pulling that crap in Tripoli main square, they'd be all gathered up on the first day, lynched, raped and hanged as an example. So quit your BS spewing anti-US propaganda. Not every country is perfect, but compare the way of life, quality of life, opportunities, freedoms of the US, US wins all gold in that respect.
@snaforfun Movies and just rhetoric words dont prove shit. Have proof? Fine, dont have proof? Go away. Conspiracy theory vids and sites do not count, buddy.

There is a difference between an attack towards ONLY innocent civilians and an actual military target. You're acting childish.

TheMedievalMan 1 month ago
@TheMedievalMan Freedom fighters don't behead women for having an affair, or hang adolescents because of their sexual preference.
I guess the middle east is just stuck in the 1600's with modern day weaponry. Scary combination.
MetalSights 1 month ago
@MetalSights You are talking about cultural practices & unjust laws. Im talking about the poorly equipped insurgency fighting for their religion. They dont see it the way you do, they think youre an infidel. As crazy as they are, the insurgencies known as "terrorists" by many are reverting to "dirty" tactics & strategies. Because countries like the U.S. have overwhelming firepower, resources, technology & alliances at their disposal. And you think theyre fighting "unfair"?
TheMedievalMan 1 month ago
@TheMedievalMan Well, the media makes it slightly unfair. The taliban could kill a mini bus full of 2 dozen people in a random ambush, and it would be written down as a figure and put aside. If the US had killed a couple in an actual firefight/conflict, it's all over the news about war crimes and shit.
don't mean to shout political bias; but that's how it is.
MetalSights 1 month ago

And something Americans would read about, or watch on the news.

sethzky77 4 months ago
Were there evil people at this barbecue? Probably.
Should that boy have been there? Absolutely not!
Did the culpable parties deserve to be punished for their heinous crimes? Absolutely.
But should the United States make it an established practice to kill US citizens--intentionally OR unintentionally--without trial, without indictment, and without warning?
This is a dangerous precedent. Even traitors like John Walker Lindt at least got their day in court. Same for Bradley Manning.
dkamouflage 4 months ago
@dkamouflage sometimes, its not worth the trouble to try and bring them to justice. Why waste time and money trying to catch them? just bombing them is much easier. Sounds cruel and unjust, but this is the world we live in.
ilisbaani 4 months ago
@ilisbaani Maybe so.
However, the law exists for a reason, and if we start to forget the law, we start to forget the reasons
dkamouflage 4 months ago
I mean, here's the thing:
It's one thing for the US to kill a US citizen in combat. John Walker Lindt was shot in combat, and if he had died--hey, you reap what you sow.
But that's not what happened here. This was a TARGETED KILLING. And unless the Geneva Conventions have redefined "combat" (again), then this falls short. This is important, because when a gov. kills its citizens outside of sanctioned combat and w/ no judicial oversight, there's a special word for it:
"Extrajudicial killing."
dkamouflage 4 months ago
@dkamouflage the 'war on terror' has no bounds and no end. that's the plan - endless war for profit while people die. Human life is worthless unless you can end it with bombs and bullets paid for by other humans, and the cycle repeats in perpetuity, until the planet of the apes scenario comes true, which it will someday.

IRAQ for example which had nothing to do with 9-11 .. I remember in the early days of the invasion and killing a US soldier said .. when ever I feel sorry for killiong Iraqis i tke out a photo of WTC and feel ok to continue.

Vyna80 4 months ago
@Vyna80 My comment was in regards to how the U.S government consistently uses lies and scare tactics against its own citizens and foreign nations to ensure its will comes to fruition---using fear in the exact same way terrorists do.
Jex134 4 months ago
@Jex134 Maybe, but you have to look at the intent behind the actions. The jihadists want to return us to the 10th century and the US wants to spread democracy. In my opinion, the Islamic fundamentalist "terrorists" are a scourge that needs to be wiped off the face of the planet if the human species is to thrive.
Vyna80 4 months ago
@Vyna80 The U.S doesn't go to war to "spread democracy", it goes to war strictly for profits. Profits from military contracts, profits from rebuilding infrastructure, and profits from plundered resources. Its the military industrial complex---the business of war.

"the US wants to spread democracy."

.
