Nope original the Attan is a Spirituell Dance which was found by Rumi the Poet with tha Attan they getting in Trance they getting near to allah so the afghan soldier danced it with swords

This is a multicultural show, it is not only dedicated for afghans it is for all the cultures and every culture gave their own performance and people would cheer for their country and that is exactly what the afghans were doing, and because they cheered so much, that is why they got second place. Even in other concerts and shows there is always cheering and clapping, so I don't know what kind of boring and lame concerts shows you have been going to.
