At first I wasn't really a fan of My Dying Bride, but then I realized how utterly amazing their work is. The music complements the lyrics perfectly, in my opinion. I wish bands such as this toured the US more. It really sucks living in the US and loving this kind of music that mostly resides in Europe...
fuckin great album. very depressing and has really emotions on it. it's not easy to write song like that if that depressed mindset! god love this album.

That's a subjective point of view. To me (and I've listened to all their albums) this one is an essence of what MDB is. You could find heavier or more complex albums but this one is the one with the really dense atmosphere and everything has sense in it. It's got climat. It's pure art and it takes you to some other world.
And the songwriting is so good that it could have been released as a poem.
nah vuldafer , ya aren't alone , tbh Aaron's voice is not the same.. instrumentally the song isn't bad , but the lyrics and vocal are just suxx compared with any of their older albums
It's so refreshing to see other fans of what I consider the best band I've ever heard. Here in Tennessee it's hard to find anyone who is into metal, let alone doom metal.
That beginning rift, is addicting.
