One of the things I love about the Half-Life series is that they use actual scientific terminology rather than making something up. I won't pretend to understand what orbifolds or manifolds are, but the fact is that when Kleiner talks about setting the manifold parameters or his teleporter to CY base and LG orbifold, he's referring to actual things called Calabi-Yau manifolds and Landau-Ginzburg theories.
