I seriously wish people would stop complaining about ACR. Every video I see "The story length is too short..." Personally I thought ACR was roughly as long as the first one, maybe longer. I don't want anyone to correct me on that, because frankly, I don't care about length. You know why I bought this game? To finish Ezio's story to the fullest, and I wouldn't have his story end any other way. AC II is still my fave, but if you're a fan you should still buy this game. You owe it to yourself.

Revelations has a quality storyline and is pretty long (though short in comparison to Skyrim, as two people have already suggested that to you). The multiplayer makes up for what the campaign lacks. It doesn't exactly answer many questions, but that should lead to a much better Assassin's Creed next year.

@XeroBounds Revelations SUCKS!!! Hands down the WORST game in the series, do not play it unless you want to ruin your entire AC experience! Assassin's Creed 1 is my favorite (plot wise), but Assassin's Creed 2 is good too (although Ezio's personality is annoying). The gameplay in Assassin's Creed 2 is great, much better than the first one. After AC 2 everything goes downhill...

@XeroBounds Gameplaywise AC 2, Brotherhood and Revelations are all pretty similar except for the Assassin's call. And the story gets kind of intricate and convoluted if you jump in halfway so I'd just go with AC2.
