i heared that these were going to be the suits for the rangers when disney was still in power and bandai made the mold ready for the disney verstion of the show but due to saban gain the rights back he wanted to use the sentai costumes

Rumor has it that Bandai was working on these guys as a varient of the original Power Rangers (Mighty Morphin'), and added Samurai-like details to them at the last minute when Saban announced it would be adapting Shinkenger.

Again, RUMOR HAS IT.

@MoonIMover I heard the rumor was that they were going to release a samurai toy line regarless of there being a show or not with these designs. So they may have already had the mold ready.

@DosmRider no they would not release these if the show wasn't released no one will buy them except for the adult collectors their target audience are kids. but I doubt they used the molds for the rumored MMPR molds they were gonna use. If they had time to mold the regular five pack then they could of done the same for the 4in articulated figures. ^.^
