If you have the audio file you want to sample you could also choose the portion that you want in a program such as audacity and drag it right into your playlist window from a folder and do whatever you need with it.

This is helping me out a lot. However, when I play my tracks when on ASIO4ALL v2 (thats the only one I got) there is no sound. If I go into the ASIO panel is shows that I have a red "X" indicating that my "Out:" is unavailable. I don't know why this is, cuz' my speakers are obviously available. Do you know what the problem would be boss...?

okay heres the deal. im trying to make a sampled beat. i looped a sample that i took from a song. i used edison to cut it. i dragged my cut into the step sequencer. then i changed the tempo so that i got my sample to loop perfectly. then i made another sample and i wanna loop it the same way but it doesnt sound right unless i change my tempo again. problem is pretty much that my samples both need different tempos in order to loop properly in my step sequencer. know what i mean?

ok screw wat u said...do this......say u have 2 difrent chops from a sample that have a difrent lengnth...go on the step sequncer and click pro defualt or somethin then stretch the time to loop perfectly...then add ur drums and THATS wen u mess with the tempo to match ur drums with the sample and then stretch again

I don't get it.. Why not just rip the sound file (to achieve best quality) with Cdex, then use Audacity to cut it into the wanted segment, then import it into a channel after all of the compression and equalization has been done? This seems like a pretty odd ball way of sampling... I've been sampling with FL for years, and these steps are damn un-necessary.

just rip the cd and/or track onto your hard drive as an .mp3 from there open edison ...2. open the folder that you ripped the song(s) into.. 3. drag and dron into the edison. let me know if this helps!

ok i turned everything down...The master on the mixer, the computer speaker volume, the volume on the computer tool bar, and the volume on fruity loops at the top and its still statikie as hell..any ideas were to get free sounds from cuz i got fruity loops 7 and i have about 170 songs with the same sounds i bought the program with so its getting kinda wack ya dig.

IF.. u dont already and/or have these thing(s). this is what you will NEED to do. Get you a record player etc. that has some type of output in the back/bottom/side. or w/e. (pref. RCA) Go out to Walmart, Radio Shack etc.

.....And get you a "Male left/right RCA cord that ends with a 1/8 on an inch plug. (the size of your mic/line in/out) on your "Realtek sound card" Run that into your sound card, go into FL Studio and hit "F10" go to audio settings and find your sound card, and select that. go to your mixer and select the audio input for you sound card as well!

For XP users: Start> Control panel> Sounds And Audio Devices.. "Click on it" And you will get a new window. From there you should be on (by defualt) the "VOLUME" tab and right under that would the name of your SOUND CARD.. realtek/audigy/etc...

How do you add premade samples in into the step sequencer.. I cant even get FL 5 to recognize I downloaded them.. I had no problem putting in new VST's

meaning what? it s "drag and drop" thing from your flstudio browser...(left of your screen) ...if you do not have your premade samples in a folder..do so.. NEXT .. hit F10.. click FILE ..from there you will have a list of blank folders... click one of the folders and you will get a pop-up. find the root folder and double click it. hit ok and/or open.. now it should show up in the list where it WAS blank. exit out of there ..now find w/i your menu the "title folder" ...let me know if this helps.

heres what I did.. I downloaded the samples and saved them to a new folder I made in the FL Stuido Directory under patches and made a new folder called samples..

When I went to add them.. they dont show up as if its a wrong file type but I have wav files, .rftl files and rar files So I dont understand that part..

I hit F10 went to file in the menu and gave FL that directory to look for and still no luck.. I have no idea what Im doing wrong
