Why do you think of other vloggers as competition? At worst, they are peers. Competition requires them to have the ability to take something away from you. I can't think of a way they would do that. And when you really think about it, even if they were capable of taking anything away from an M13 vid, the closest guy to you is about half of your subs. After him it is about half of him! Not really competition if you ask me. Haha. Good video though. I agree with most of what you said.

@13mordeth I ride both motor and pedal bikes, and I would agree with the commenter that just because you aren't motorized doesn't mean you don't have full rights to use the road. It's a public access, and motorized riders just have to accept the fact that anyone can use a public thoroughfare so motorbikers must plan accordingly. Some of my motorbike friends can't wrap their heads around the fact that a motorbike isn't a license to do ANYTHING they want. It comes with responsibilities, too.

The idea behind that is: Why would you tell anybody about being good at sth. when actually your actions speak louder than words? Problem is: People nowadays aren't patient enough to watch and lose interest quickly. bicyclists think they own the road in every country apparently. I love when they are in groups and I am going uphill through the twisties and they take up the entire lane. there is nothing wrong with say you are the best if you can prove it I work as a service plumber and sometimes follow behind others that couldn't do the job or open a drain line and as a joke I tell people that "they have had the rest now they've had the best " and the next time they need a plumber they'll call me I say it as a joke but they keep calling me back
Vloggers better than M13... Not a lot comes to mind. Accidental Broadcast is about the only one I can think of. But It would be tough to really say he's better than M13, while his videos are perhaps better quality and he's a bit more fun to fun and charismatic the absurd quantity M13 offers levels the playing field.
I would like to know who else you think is better than you, I don't think anyone would un-sub your channel, they'd just have one more channel to watch if you told us.
@crazyringo92 It's not so much that a "channel" is better than mine. But I've seen plenty of videos made by bikers that have such high production value (most of AB's stuff and from others as well). I see those vids and I think to myself "I wish I had the time/skill to do that." . But often those vids are one offs.
What about the other way arround? for example somebody like mike tyson, no offence to mike he was probably the best fighter ever in his prime, but when he was coming back saying lennox cant touch him and then gets knocked out lol. The reason why most people who are actually the best in the world at what they do, Dont say that their the best is because most times the people their competing against are close friends or have a level of respect of the individual and would rather be Polite and not put down any one.

At 6:35 I was considering passing...I could see over the roof of the car and could see nothing was coming. And the corner we approached was a very low speed corner.....so even if something had tried to come around that corner fast I could have easily gotten out of its way.

he commented to another driver, twisting my words just a little to make this dude say something also effing pissed me off, so after trying to take a little pride in my work, and my quick learning of the job, i get criticized all because a few people are so insecure a lttle comment makes there butts hurt.
for real people are annoying, ive been driving hyster for maybe a month now and a few days ago i loaded a truck pretty quick, i asked another driver what the average time was to load this "sorta truck" (so i knew how much i needed to improve) and he said roughly 2 hours to 3 hours i had it done in around an hour and a half. i made the comment " i wasent to bad then" he freaked out like i was saying i was the best. or i was comparing myself to him when hes been driving 5 years.

@13mordeth ha, you said that in one of your videos about pivot steering, I used that and it works. Though I think it is better to push leg apposite of corner you aiming at, not both. Also you need to think that id you push leg you "lift hand" so pivot of riders mass is between flour and searing wheel, depending on how hard you push.I think best is to try lifting your"rear"on one leg,depends which corner you do, so center of weight will be lower.And check counter steering video of m13

At 6:35 I was considering passing...I could see over the roof of the car and could see nothing was coming. And the corner we approached was a very low speed corner.....so even if something had tried to come around that corner fast I could have easily gotten out of its way.

for real people are annoying, ive been driving hyster for maybe a month now and a few days ago i loaded a truck pretty quick, i asked another driver what the average time was to load this "sorta truck" (so i knew how much i needed to improve) and he said roughly 2 hours to 3 hours i had it done in around an hour and a half. i made the comment " i wasent to bad then" he freaked out like i was saying i was the best. or i was comparing myself to him when hes been driving 5 years.

So what about Muhammad Ali? He used his boasting to not only keep himself in the public eye on a PR level but to put the fear of God in any of his opponents even before they got in the ring with him. Maybe it's the comedic element he injected into his boasting that allowed him to get away with it but people grew to love him, and still do to this day.

i think its perfectly fine for someone to think they're the best at what ever they do. Hell in a competitive type of scene, you wont get far unless you believe you're the best. But i'm not going to lie, it does bug me when people brag about how great they are, just keep it to yourself, no need to reaffirm what everyone else knows lol.

@13mordeth ha, you said that in one of your videos about pivot steering, I used that and it works. Though I think it is better to push leg apposite of corner you aiming at, not both. Also you need to think that id you push leg you "lift hand" so pivot of riders mass is between flour and searing wheel, depending on how hard you push.I think best is to try lifting your"rear"on one leg,depends which corner you do, so center of weight will be lower.And check counter steering video of m13

Also, I sometimes get compliments for being good at something, but innately respond with humility, even though I recognize that I really am good. If you're good at something, there should be no need for you to say it.
And to not toot your own horn is just a matter of basic politeness, and is the kind of attitude I'd expect a "polite asshole" to adopt. Plus, doing the opposite makes you look cocky.
