Dumb ass you don't make a speed machine without lowering and softening the suspension. My Stampede kinda did that when I first got it. I have a slash with a motor I built myself and it runs in the high nineties. Funny thing is it cost about $750 total.
@killaanissan After about 6 months of abuse, rough landings etc the cells started to seperate. I do in fact believe it was because of the height of the battery and the stock hold down being small. Now ive made a wrap to help absorb the energy more evenly across the battery
If I remember correctly this was with an 83/31 spur/pinion. We always run the slipper tight. Mainly for a few reasons that some people may or may not agree with. 1) I like having all available power to the tires if need be 2) it seems to make driving it more predictable for me. however I have tried loosening it an 8th to 1/4 turn loose at the hard clay indoor race track because with 3s its just too much power
