I remember this video! Great review. Forgot that the tree should be in exposed area. What a difference in camera quality. That new rig sure takes an amazing video.
Not forgetting that this is the opposite down here in the southern hemisphere. Tree here leaning towards the sun or having most of their branches growing towards the sun will be showing a northerly (N, NE & NW) direction. Thanks for the video Mike.
great info mike hope yall had a relaxing hollidays i have a question what size ax is that in your video and do you carry a tomahawk on occasion thanks again
@366drew welcome...The axe I normally carry is the small forest axe from GB...I do not have a tomahawk. But all cutting tools are useful in there kind of way.
@bushcraftbartons Thank you. I'm just trying to translate the knowledge you share to my area which is further South. Mostly hardwood forests (oak, hickory & walnut) as well as sycamore in my neck of woods.
Loving all the tricks, Mike! It's wonderful having a Northern bushcrafter on youtube with so much to teach about the trees we've got up here. You've given me a new appreciation for what I was already into. Keep on truckin!
Nice information Mike, didnt know that, thanks a lot,is that a canada goose jacket you wear?If so,how do you like it,is it worth the price?I m looking at them for winter sports...
I did not know any of the things that you've just showed us, eventhough the first part, that birch trees are white on the south-side is very logic if you think about it...
You are really a great teacher and a very knowledgeable man!
God bless you! - People like you change the world for the better!!!
