Russian can survive in harsh conditions, they have very strong will - that''s because they have very difficult history in past, americans (as nation) weren't in war, they only sended troops everywhere in the world. But russians have struggled in their paths for surviving and saw the war from childhood. Russians had very difficult history which could i describe as - surviving marathon. Despite this, they have big heart and they are very good friends.

The people here had to fight Native Americans for hundreds of years, had a huge civil war, they had to live in untamed wilderness while western Europe had barely any wolves or bears left, much of America and Canada is almost as cold as Russia.

@Emosekunde Actually, Soviet Union was invited in Afghan civil war by Democratic republic of Afghanistan to fight against US supported Mujaheedin. USSR built 90% infrastructure, opened many hospitals, built cities. USSR had to step down, because there was no military solution, just like in Vietnam. After step-down, Democratic Afghan held country 3 years, but Taliban took over.

Third the Russians were probably in such a little part in the Vietnam war that it doesn't even really count as their victory. (Like now, but we are winning) And fourth we lost the Vietnam War because we were be back stabbed by the South Vietnamese peoples, which we helped so they wouldn't get taken over by the North Vietnamese. As an American, I have to say, I like Russia, I like (to an extent) that they used to be communist, as I have always wondered what that would be like.
Also, now that I'm politically awakened, I realize the shitty image that America has around the world.
I read of our history in texts books, and even hear from elderly people, that this place isn't the same.
