  • I think it sounds pretty good. Especially when its coming back down after the rev

  • Wished it sounded better and didnt blow so much damn smoke.

  • @HonDaRyd3r33 nope thats a fish

  • @HonDaRyd3r33 no. that would be called exhaust, tis what happens when its cold out...

  • That shit looks like jet engine lol..

  • Sounds kinda ugly

  • god damn u slam doors hard

  • @HonDaRyd3r33 ya that would be smoke... it was like 30 degrees out that day

  • @clipz2202 Then wouldn't it be steam and not smoke?

  • @clipz2202 dude all the greddy evo 2 exhaust i look at online say that it only fits on a 02-06 eclipse gt, will it still fit on an 00, or 01, cuz im confused,,please write back dude,,thanks

  • on second thought clipz2202 go check out the pumpkin from hell its got the same engine as the 3g eclipse with some 3g eclipse parts in it like transmission. its a 20 psi 530whp galant and half the engine still needs to be built....go tell him hes slow.

  • @3G4life1990 dude relax im not saying that all 3g's are slow but it will cost a hell of alot more to make a 3g fast than a 2g... And at one time i owned both the 3g in this video and a 1998 GST (which I own now) and my GST is currently at 31psi making 621whp. Both CAN be fast but 3gs take alot to make them fast but if u can make it fast then go for it...

  • @clipz2202 that is the greatest response i have ever heard. most people call the 3g a slow pos waste of time but you actually agree with me =) know anywhere i can get my engine bored out?

  • @clipz2202 you're correct..any car can be faster than another..but the 3g (especially GT is front heavy..but I've seen some nasty 3gs tear up the track near me..one is 900hp...

  • were did you buy your exhaust im looking for one too i want that kind on my eclipse

  • Would i be better off getting a a whole new exhaust system or jus getting a muffler??

    i jus got a 2000 eclipse gt

  • Getting the full exhaust system is the best which is Headers and an exhaust system from the cat back. But getting a cat back exhaust is a great way to add horse with a small amount of power. The piping is ususally bigger than your stock piping. I have a Greddy Evo 2 Catback and it sounds great! Just have to work on getting headers. Id say save the money and get a cat-back exhaust.

  • @ eclipse094, right now i have been looking @ the invida n1 system and i am liking that.

  • @reggiebushsaint25 The Invidia N1 system is sweet too!! Honestly I had a hard time trying to figure out which one I wanted but I went with the Greddy EVO 2 mainly because I found it at a decent price and I also found a company that was able to modify mine because I have the Fed Spec Eclipse. To answer a previous question I saw you had, is that the Greddy will fit Cali Spec's with no issues. Just Fed Spec's owners had some issues to worry about. Either way you cant go wrong with The Evo 2 or N1

  • how much did the greddy evo 2 cost u?

    i found the invidia n1's r 500 bucks

  • @reggiebushsaint25 I spent a total (Shipping Included) for the EVO 2 roughly 520 or a lil more. I just found on Amazon the Invidia N1 for 502.49 shipping wasn't shown but I believe you have to be a member.

  • alright kool and thanks.

  • @reggiebushsaint25 Your very welcome man. Any other questions just let me know.

  • sounds pretty good to me..Any more mods for the future?

  • nope actually sold the car now i have a 98 GST making over 600whp im gonna post vids up of it in the spring

  • lucky ass i cant finde not 1

  • @clipz2202

I have an 01 GT was it tough making that greddy fit in there?

  • should I buy an exhaust system or muffler?

  • right i wanna know the same thing

  • @philgunman you should buy aN ENTIRE CAR!!!!!!

  • HAHAHAHA!! funny

  • sounds like shit!

ill post a video of mine

  • thanks. ya post a vid of yours im sure its sounds so much better. doesnt really matter either way 3gs are slow as fuck.

  • @clipz2202 3g drivers don't need people talking down on there cars to know there not as fast as the 2g eclipse

  • out of the 3gs i heard the 2000 gt was the fastest

  • They explain a lil bit about the difference with cali and fed spec. I have mine installed but never had issues with O2 sensors, they weld what is called a flange on the exhaust for the Fed Spec, and when it comes to cutting parts off the Greddy exhaust, this company will do the necessary requirement for so installing will be a breeze. Any questions anyone has about the Greddy Evo 2 for Cali and Fed Spec just ask... :)

  • could any muffler shop install it on a fed spec or is it certain ones?

  • any shop will be able to install it on a fed spec just take it to midas or monroe or some muffler shop around u they willl prob charge you about $50

  • Did you have the flange welded properly? I had my flange on the Evo 2 Designed for my Fed Spec 01 eclipse or else it wouldn't have connected right. Like clipz2202 said any shop will install it, just have to find a price your willing to pay. Ive seen prices range from $55 all the way up to$110. Has anyone told you about how the flange for the fed spec is? I have the evo 2 on my Fed spec eclipse.

  • @Eclipse094

Will it be tough to make the greddy evo 2 fit on a cali spec?

  • I have the Greddy Evo 2 on mine Fed Spec Eclipse. Sounds great!! I went to a place called Road Race Engineering. This Online site is devoted to only Mitsubishi models, well at least any that most people modify.

  • when you installed the aem cold air intake did you have to take to bumper off and remove some stuff?

  • no it is very easy to install it took me like 5 min. someone with minimal car knowledge should be able to do it in prob 20-25 min. u dont need to take anything off the car to install it though....except of course the stock intake

  • should i by the water resistance thing or not? hear the cai will suck up water

  • no dont bother the only way that ur intake will suck in air is if the filter is completely submerged in water which prob wont happen unless ur driving through a flood. its just a waste of money

  • Comment removed

  • It was kind of a bitch with the K&N Typhoon because it goes all the way down right above the splash guard.... you have to assemble a hanger off the CAI onto the car right above the splash guard which is a bitch to do... other than that its easy. Im sure the AEM is very similar

  • hey i was lookin into getting a eclipes gt or a tc help on which is a better choice

  • Wow sounds nice! The best exhaust for the 3g eclipse. did you have to weld in a bung for the o2 sensor? I've heard you need to cut off 2" to make it fit the fed spec gt.

  • i probably would have got the greddy if you didnt have to cut some off and weld it. So i ended up getting the Invidia N1, it was 2 inches to large and had to cut it off anyways. These exhaust systems usually have a hole for the o2 sensor, the invidia did.

  • Any exhaust made for the 3g eclipse is most likely California spec (generally 2002-2005). For those that have a fed spec, you would have to cut off 2" for it to fit. The Invidia N1 is made for the Cali spec, as well as the Greddy Evo2.

I ended up having a Cali spec (even though the model number suggests its a fed spec) exhaust system, so everything bolted right into place. No cutting, no extra o2 senors. I like the Evo2 because it goes under the axle, and retains a pretty decent sound.

  • yea. im pretty sure the greddy and invidia are almost the same.

  • how much you paid for it and what exactly do you have?

  • or is it just really cold

  • lol got some water in your gas bro?

  • how much did it cost to install or did you DIY?

  • whats better this or a magnaflo one?

  • greddy is the best sounding one for 3rd gen eclipses... by far

  • greddy no question man

  • so honestly which one you think it sounds better? or its better over all? the Greddy Evo2 Exhaust or the borla catback? im trying to change mine and i dnk which one to get!!!!

  • V6 sound is nice man!! nice.

  • wonder how it would sound on a GS?

  • GOOd???

  • i like my 2003 eclipse gts and i will do anything i need to to make it as good if not better than the 2g an 4g models! lauph if u want but with enough cash anything that involves a car is possible

  • how much was that? i have a 2003 gts and i'm lookin for an exhaust. sounds nice man...!

  • anyone know of any brands of turbo kits they have for the gs model????

  • Sounds nice! I like the deep tone it has. How did the fitment go? Did you have to do anything special to make it fit a 2000 model eclipse?

  • you wont be able to run the exhaust through the stock location between the gas tank and back drivers side tire due to the fact the muffler is so long. And i'm pretty sure you dont want the tip sticking out like 4 or 5 in past the bumper. best bet is to go like this guy did and go under the tank with the pipe. and by doin that you can increase the dia of exhaust pipe if you want.

  • How hard would it be to run the exhaust under the tank? It would just seem easier to have an exhaust shop cut it by the 3-4 in.

Btw what kind of headers are you looking to get?

  • actually if you make your own pipes its easier to run it under the tank than through the stock location.

  • debating on ripp mods or XIRacing headers.

  • I've heard nothing but good reviews from ripp headers, but never heard of XIRacing before. I was thinking to do the evo2 and the megan racing headers and just weld on the cats to make it legal.

  • the XIRacing is new. megan headers i've heard people say they sound too raspy. but honestly i think megan headers are ok.

  • yea it really depends on what exhaust you have on it to. with a silencer, they don't sound to raspy.

  • i just got my headers put on. no cats and no resonators and jesus christ its loud as fuck.

  • haha yea i'd definitely keep the resonators on. which set did you end up getting?

  • believe it or not a buddy of mine got rid of his eclipse and sold me what he had for a hundred. They are megan headers but i figured I cant beat a hundred dollars for headers that was on the car for like 3 months

  • damn thats not bad for only a hundred. wanna post up a video of those headers :p

  • yeah soon as my next day off. thurs i will have it up def.

  • greddy exhaust is the way to go on a 3g v6. sounds nice and deep. i have a greddy evo2, only the muffler, on my stock exhaust and it sounds just like this

  • yup

  • i have the same muffler on my 2000 eclipse gt. I removed all the resonators and 1 of the cats and it sounds awesome. I am getting ready to put on my new headers soon.

  • dude where can you get one these?

  • Got this exhaust on my 02 GT and it sounds great surprisingly. I'm more of a v8 american muscle guy but my car was getting unreliable and I needed something with better mileage and opted for an Eclipse (the price was right too).

Has to be the best sounding exhaust for the Eclipses once it's broken in. Great sound from outside and from the interior it's 20 times better.

  • Bad ass bro

  • where did u get the exhaust?

everywhere i look it says that the 00 01 02 have a different flange than the exhaust for the 030405.... its sounds nasty as fuck..

and u dumb asses who say that the 4cyl is better....i ahve a gt with an aem cai and i beat a turbod gs with a full exhaust headers and cai THERE ARE 2 MORE FUCKING CYLINDERS DUMBASSES

  • turbo rs or gs 2000-2005 eclipse at 16-17psi (safe on stock internals) is about 280-300whp which would destroy your gt with your cold air intake.

  • hmmm girly, slow & junk. probably the dumbest comment i've ever seen. Ur talking shit when u probably drive ur moms minivan around u stupid fuck!

  • bahaha that shut him up.

  • hahahahaha

  • "wombis" is right, IMO. The 3G eclipse is like an underpowered version of the 3000gt/eclipse combo... except heavier, non-turbo, non-AWD. Yeah, you can modify any car, including a 3G 6G72, but you would have to do a WHOLE lot of work to make it AWD, lose 300lbs, modify engine internals/top & bottom end/cams. The 4G63 was a phenomenal engine, designed to be tuned. The 4G64 (3g engine) was designed to get good gas mileage...

Proud owner of a 3G, of which was given to me for graduation, lol

  • true but the 4g64 boosted is a BEAST. get a 01-05 eclipse RS/GS and put a nice turbo with FMIC and an ECU flash and you'll be able to do 17psi without touching the internals.

  • ya very true i have a 98 gst too and 4g63 is definetly the way to go for performance. i'm running 20 psi making about 355 + lbs/torque, but i luv my 3g too.

  • oo sry if i was wrong about the oil mabe it is steam welll my car did that once and i had to get new gaskets btw

  • you are buring a fuck load of oil; bro get that checked out

  • thats not oil. thats steam. not tryin to be a dick.

  • not trying to rag on your knowledge or anything but the 4g64 is the more versitale motor of the 3gs. (4cyl) the v6s arent to great.

  • ummmm dumbass i said the 4 cylinders are much easier to mod but if u wanna put the money into the 6g72 it can be made much faster.

  • is it a cat-back? or do you have aftermarket headers?

  • its catback but im bout to get cmf headers

  • nice vid. I want to purchase the exhaust. but im concerned about the pipes. im looking online and there different. How do you know the diff from fed and cai? Once again great vid.

  • fed spec dosent have pre cats on the headers..

  • Ive heard that the rs/gs are the better eclipses to get cuz there potential for them are better then GT can u let me know if this is true

  • no the GT's can definetly be made faster but the rs and gs are easier to do forced induction to & the gt will be alot more expensive but it can be much faster

  • it true. in order to get decent boost out of a gt or gts you would have to get a shortblock for it. which would be the best route. stock pistons only handle like 5-8bls of boost and thats it. get the shortblock and posibilities are endless

  • yeah i wouldnt try it the stock pistons are shity anyways in the gt i would swap them out before boosting it

  • Personally I think it sounds just like the stock Borla exhaust.

  • The exhaust sound great, I might be getting a 2000 GT soon and i can't seem to find the evo2 for the year 2000. Is yours Cali or Fed spec? And where did you get it?

  • The greddy evo2 will fit on any 3G eclipse even though it says only 02-05. if u have a fed spec u will need to do some welding for it to fit if u have a cali u can just bolt it right up.

  • Dude the Evo2 sounds amazing on the 3g 6cyls. Only thing I don't like about them is the looks, I just recently got a Flowmaster axel-back exhaust for my 03 GS and it sounds pretty amazing. But I would get an Evo2 if I could afford it, but nice car and post some driving vids when you get some.

  • thanx i think the evo2 looks pretty good though and u should post some vids of ur exhaust it probably sounds tight.

  • Yea my friend has a dynomax ultraflow on his 3g 4cyl, and it sounds good but not aggressive enough for me. So I got a 40 series delta flow Flowmaster. Damn am I glad I went that route it's twice as loud and deeper sounding than his is. But I'm working on getting some vids posted of it. But yea the Evo2 is just too expensive for my budget right now.

  • I got the vid posted of my flowmaster on my 3g if you wanna check it out. Sounds pretty mean too. It'll never be as mean sounding as the 6g72, but you know, I'm proud of my 4g64 man sounds damn good for a 4cyl.

  • how much did it cost you for the CIT and the Exhuast, i had the muffler cut off on mine and a tip put on it and i need to get the whole exhuast re-done because someone told me it affects the back pressure

  • i think u mean CAI and it cost $250 for the CAI and about $500 for the exhaust

  • yea sorry i mean CAI, do you notice the difference with a cold air on it like greatly or what?

  • Ya the CAI makes a difference in the sound but theres only a small increase in performance

  • The increase in performance for the AEM CAI is huge at the top end. I think we gained over 10whp in the top end.

  • defintly, the one thing i think eclipse gt's lack is low end torque. All these NA mods help a lot with high end though.

  • any problems wit da cold air intake? the whole suckin up water thing..is it tru?

  • the only time you would have to worry about that is if the entire filter is completely under water which will probably never happen. also if u wanna be safe u could by a bypass valve from AEM for like $50 or something. but i've had no problems w/ it and it sounds great

  • nice deep sound that's how all exhausts should sound very nice

  • sounds nice!
