@Hijynx427 I'd like to weigh in too. I have accumulated more than two years travel in the Carribean side of Central America. Been gold prospecting down there too. Unless you have a very good network of contacts already established there, your welcome will wear out quickly. It is dangerous to be perceived extracting wealth from a place unless the locals feel you belong there. You have to be real smooth my friend, be safe and good luck!

I keep what I find personally, I plan to have it all buried with me like a hoard.. Private Collectors, museums and other academic institutions often buy exeptional gold nuggets, a lot of the ugly stuff gets sold to gold refiners and smelted..
