  • Merry Christmas Lisa Dewar, I hope you and your family has a really nice x-mas, and a happy new year. I'm back, to listen to some more of your dad, Love James so much/wynn

  • one of the truly all time greatest rock songs ever! robins guitar work and dewars melting vocals, and some great drum work too!/wynn

  • Just simply blaze up to this song...simply beautiful

  • My favorite song of all time!!!! nothing even comes close, the perfect blend of Robins guitar and Dewars' voice

  • rip jimmy

  • Hey , if you live in LA , Robin Trower at the Galaxy Concert Theater Feb. 19 .

    BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THERE

  • VERY COOL

  • Love this song, so soulful/wynn

  • take credit for them ? assehole

  • dewar.s voice was golden

  • I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Trower in Charlotte NC circa 1975. He never really was given his due. I studied his technique to improve my own playing.

  • I'm back again, nice song!/Wynn

  • different beginning

  • just wonderful thanks so much,

  • Great Band

  • james gives me goosebumps on this song

  • Got to know his music through older brothers in the 70's. Loved it.

  • back again

  • Wow, I come in here, every day to hear this song, I hope all of you appreciate james, and robin, and billy

  • Simply wonderful . Fantastic song with vocalist Jimmy Dewar outstanding . Wish I'd seen this trio perform live .

  • I truly think that this is my favorite James Dewar tune, he really pours out his heart, and soul on this

  • @teleevangelist Agreed ^^

  • ...hey folks, I'm back for my daily fix, lol

  • I have to agree, James Dewar made the sound. Trower is great but James's voice made you melt.

  • rip Dad, you are a legend! Lisa Dewar.

  • @daiseytree /Hi Lisa, I loved your dad James voice in front of the Robin Trower Band, in the early 70's, this was my favorite albumn, vinyl then, lol, I"m a '53 model, and anyway, I have just recently started listening to alot of my musical heritage from my teen years, and...I listen to your dad/James Dewar, every day in the morning...thanx/wynn

  • @daiseytree Lisa, your dad had a voice like no other. All Trower fans miss him.

  • @daiseytree Lisa, I so agree with you !!!

  • @daiseytree Yes Lisa he was a legend. The most underated rock voice of all time

  • @missabottiman As a Afrikan in amerikka I can truly say your dad was the shizznick. Alot of white boys tried but never got it right Robin and your dad did.

  • @daiseytree jimmy was your dad?!?!?!?

  • @daiseytree Tremendous blues vocalist ... every bit as good as the great Paul Rodgers

  • @daiseytree Your Dad has an unmistakable voice that lives on!

I recently explained to my son that Mr. Robin Trower played the guitar and Mr. James Dewar sang this song. His favorite is bridge of sighs.

  • @daiseytree Lisa, your dad was great. What a soul-full voice. Most people would be happy to either sing like this OR play great bass. Your dad had both. Your dad's bass playing is also under-rated. A lot of bassists today can overplay songs but it's the really forward thinking players who realize what a song should have, you know, the people who aren't ego driven. Classy guy, and missed. God bless.

  • JAMES DEWAR The VOICE OF TROWER with out him these songs would have never been this good dont forget it RIP james. Thanks to davey patterson for carring the vocal torch but no one will ever replace James Dewars haunting voice

  • I agree with Jeff1surfs .... the live album is the best version I have ever heard. It is truly RT at his best !!

His soulful solo at the end cannot be reproduced, with the subtle sustained notes resonating the snare drum like a rattlesnake. It is awesome. Robin is one of the very best ever !!

  • quasargillian, just saw him May 29 at the House of Blues! He has not lost a step, sounds as soulful ,minus JD, as when I first saw him in the 80's

His RT live album now sells for $179.00 on Amazon....Great stuff.

  • most underrated guitarist ever. trower rules.

  • Actually he's probably not as underrated as you would think.

  • I agree... he's rated appropriately...

  • My best favorite live trower song!!

Sounds best on the "Robin Trower LIVE" album, in my humble opinion.

  • wow! just read about dewar in this month's classic rock.

wish i knew aboput him before.

    what a voice.

will try to get as much of his stuff as i can...wow

  • instant goosebumps. . .love it

  • one of my favorite songs. i like to sing, the blues

  • Todays music, ahh... can you really see any of todays music being considered classic 20 years from now? It's shit, the whole dynamic and the attention span has shifted. NO WAY WOULD rhyme of the ancient mariner be allowed on any label today.

  • Saw Jimmy sing this live. AMAZING!

  • Holy Toledo! I forgot just how good these guys were. I still have some vinyl from those days. Today's music is garbage by comparison.

When I first heard this I though it was Hendrix. I don't think that was an accident.

  • Livingstone brown is my dad. i've seen Robin live 4 times and he rocks!

  • Outside temp. 37F.,Snowing outside, Trower fills my kitchenspace, cat's hanging on the curtains, eyes wide opened.....Trower power lives on, and on and on..........November 7, 2008

  • Oh hell yes I'm "listening down the rainbow" and I am truly spellbound! Choice post!

  • Is music like this played in heaven?

  • If so then I will be an angel.

  • @egrogshub i hope so... otherwise... i don't want to go.

  • @egrogshub all day, baby

  • That's awesome!!!

  • u fucken rock man i would do anything to seee thing guy live i would even fuck my own cat just to see him

  • I thought this song was actually about Hendrix. As in, they were spellbound by Hendrix. I think Robin has hinted at this in the past.

  • Does anyone see an Electric Lady Land influence here?

  • WELL YOU MAYBE RIGHT , ROBIN WAS THE GUITARIST FOR PROCUL HAREM WASN'T HE.... SAME PERIOD.. BIG BLUES INFLUENCE ON HIM AND JIMI. p

  • Thou art Pete, therefore it is so!

  • this is more than just that....

  • i put robin trower up there as one of the all time greatest guitar players. along with hendrix, and page.

  • Heavens music.this is. thanks. Lee.

  • IM DAYDREAMIN FOR SURE! DI:)

  • Sorry, I don't know. I've had this song file on my 'puter for a long time, can't remember where I got it from, let alone any details. Bummer gettin' old!

I thought it was from one of the later live CDs, but I really don't have a clue.
