It isn't about rape at all. This song is about a girl needing to go home, or else she'll get in trouble by her family, while the boy she is in love with is giving excuses to make her stay (obviously).

When someone says "what's in my drink?" it could mean "what type of grapes are in here?" or "did you put cream in this?" or "what type of drink is this?" and many others. I know most people are joking about it being rape, but still, rape is a serious thing.

The male singer is Johnny Mercer, perhaps the greatest American lyricist, but also a fine singer. The girl singer is Margaret Whiting. Get with it folks. Theres great music out there, but you have to reach for it. I can't believe someone would confuse Mercer with Dean Martin.
