Wolf & band does Dixon's song as Rock here. Great arrangement! I was Wolf's close friend & kindred collaborative spirit. We made 2 songs, he taught me harp. We made his iconic portraits, business cards, concert shots, family photos (story at howlingwolfphotos) I understand him better than you hear claiming to - my caring interview re his childhood resolved the mystery of why he had to run away from his sadistic uncle. Wolf would be or IS most glad to know of so many new and long-time fans!
RavenKiller1 Yes this is The Wolf, but if you look into it you'll see most of his AND Muddy Wathers hits (as well as many others) are Credited to Willie Dixon
@TheJuanABee not most but some of his Chess years some good hits penned by Dixon done by Wolf. Dixon wrote great stuff for many artists workin' at Chess, and you can hear DIxon's own band play it their way. Usually very different, good but somewhat traditional while Wolf stretched it out in his innovative tightly run ship way, new arrangements and styles. Wolf even tuned the guitars of his crew, at concerts. This is rock. And Sumlin's solo here shows why he influenced so many guitar players.
@mkgblues Zep took most.. they are also known to some musicologists or just blues/rock fans as "Thieving Magpies", Wolf and Dixon were able to litigate and win, countless others were not in shape to do that. In fact, Wolf had to sue his own lyrics licensing company to get his part of what was attained, There are plenty of articles online that show the plagiarism, Nothing wrong with doing a cover but taking credit for it for simply adding whiny singin' and a solo ... uh-uh
I sing this in karaoke. I'm 6' and 300lbs.

Hot licks! One of the tastiest guitar solos ever, in a beautifully arranged and cleverly sung song. Willie DiXon rules! (ask Led Zeppelin...)

@ElfFarmRaffle I like it. I'm old enough to remember the Willie Dixon incedent.
