  • What engines are they?

  • @pbrew85 Rolls Royce ;)

  • Good telelens zooming action while keeping the shaking to a minimum.

  • the thing didnt even wait to be lined off before is started down the runway wdf if this

  • listen to the power of those jet engines!

  • No time to wait just go men.............

  • OOO Great video the raw of the engines are powerful

  • absolutely stunning.

  • y wud someone put this American 757 taking off from manchester vid in a Russian YaK 42 vid? i know that theyre both have in common tht they're aircrafts but 757 and YaK 42 and YaK 40 are totally different planes

  • Where was this take-off?

  • That thing didn't even wait to get lined up.

  • orgasmic engines' sound!!!

for those of you that vote down, simply don't vote and watch something else!

  • nice video man !! nice sound !!

  • That's one of the most beautiful videos of a 757 taking off as I've ever seen. :) Well done.

  • Like an eagle taking flight! So gracefully!

  • I love the sound of those engines revving up!!

  • Your Mom is an engine....

  • THIS IS NOT YOUR VIDEO

  • i like american airlines

  • "AWESOME"!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How do you know he is saying hi to you?

I know that it is like some Federal Regulation to have all lights strobes, landing, taxi, etc. to be on the runway because they think it will avoid A/C collisions

tell me if i am right or not?

  • @USflying don't you see that he turns on and off then on and off and then on ?

  • @USflying yes it is part of regulations but to have the lights on but not to flash them on and off like that u put them on leave them on... so which means he was signaling the spotters

  • Why didnt he position and hold on the runway? Is this a normal procedure?

  • @SmileyPapa

If he's cleared for takeoff during his taxi he is most certainly going to perform a rolling one

  • @SmileyPapa He was clear for take off..otherwise he would have held position!!!

  • is this fake or real Lol, its wierd

  • Where's the noise !!! >< !

    I prefere the 777-300Er

  • Left engine pwnt, it was smoking on takeoff lol

  • The 757 is a total hotrod, and my favorite jet. I was thrilled to be at the rollout of the first one in Renton in 1982. Wow, almost 30 years ago.

  • B757, is a beautifull plane,,,,,,looks like sport plane

  • nice vid, i thought it was gonna take off before it turned but that would be impossible

  • Flew in one from MIA to SDQ and a week later from SDQ to MIA on American.. Older jets but nice ride. I'll hate it when they retire these ladies. Comfortable and roomy for a narrow bodied plane.

  • Performer: Rolls Royce

    Song: pure sex!!!

  • nice vid

  • nice vid

  • I live in orange county and have flown out from SNA many times and the rate of climb is so much fun and then they cut the engines!

  • PERUVIAN AIRLINES IS THE BEST AIRLINES IN PERU

  • love AA's 757. its like the sports car of the boeing series. how did you get so close to the runway??

  • @dkeithhunt67, perchance you're going to punta Cana? Cause I took a 757 to there a year ago

  • Will fly next week with AA to the Dominican in a 757. I'm excited. I've never been on anything larger than a 737. Nice vid and nice jet...

  • This beauty of an aircraft is simply over-powered with these two massive engines!

    I love the 757!

  • I Love Flying!!!! I Live Right Next To A Airport and I Love Looking at Planes Taking off! I am Going to Mexico July 1st 2011! Too bad It Is over a year away! D:

  • The sexiest plane in the whole boeing fleet!!

  • interesting how he spools up even before he's lined up on the runaway.

  • @yehend I've noticed many American Airlines Pilots spool up just before going into a turn on the taxi way, although I believe here the pilot was preforming a rolling takeoff.

  • what airport is this

  • @bangladeshb0y looks like Manchester (EGCC)

  • No, you are of course right. The 757 is no way reated to the 787 - the 767 perhaps, though. As far as engines go - I'm not so sure. I admit to liking RR because I used to live near the factory. So, I presume Americans feel the same for GE and P&W. Do airlines only choose products on merit basis? Isn't there just a bit nationalistic play, with so much prestige and money involved?

  • Have to disagree, as an American. I pick based on merits, not some sort of national pride, and my favorite engine is Rolls Royce (along with most pilots I know). I also prefer Boeing, and not because it's made in the U.S., but because they build a better plane than Airbus. My favorite set-up would be the 757 with RB211's

  • NICE!

  • Call me a sad bastard but - I would gladly marry the 757 - I would wash its back and scrub its feet every day.

  • At :20 it looks like a beautiful woman

  • no woman could be compared to that...listen to the power the beauty love it love it....those engines drives me wildddddddddddddddddddddd

  • @ramprashad29

    lol...true...the B757 don't bitch you all day...lmao...

  • amen son! amen

  • the 757 is way too cool to be compared to any human being....those engines drives me crazy i love them, awesome power.....shit makes me horny

  • Watch the horizontal stabilizer on full thrust: It's shakin' away..

  • Awesome -- a really good catch. That wingspan sure looks wide.

  • i love the roar of the engines as it takes off

  • @Coasterrider210 Me, too.

  • @Coasterrider210 i LUVVVVVVVV HOW FAST IT GOES ;)

  • When I graduate HS Im going to UCLB(Univeristy of Cailiforina at Long Beach) to become a pilot.

  • I would like to become a pilot too, either a pilot or a doctor. I plan to fly for Southwest, United or Delta though if I do become one. I'm awful scared with my ADHD I'll do something wrong, but Idk.

  • @bluepanther1011 Im pretty sure its cal state long beach,csulb.... its a good school but definitely not UC material....

  • @futurepilot26 No its Univeristy of LA at LB and UC?

  • i wanna fly for them when i am older :)

  • @poptartpencil you have to start off flying things like crj's saab's etc for aa

  • Comment removed

  • very nice sound

  • Did you notice he was still on the turn and started the engines? watch at 0:48

  • Yes, about that, it's normal when do that, means they were cleared to take off before reaching the runway. Is taking advantage of the time. Also on busy airports, you gotta maneuver fast when going to or leaving a runway. Half of the takes off I am on SDQ, pilots starts engine right before finish the turning on the runway.

  • THAT"S A HUGE BITCH!

  • he must have been heavy for that run

  • I was going to say the same. 757's usually get-up-and-go!

  • este es el avion que mas me gusta y con los motores RR I like her sound!!!!

  • The 787 is an updated 757 as seen here. AA ordered RB211 engines for their 757's and have never looked back. But, AA have now ordered GE for upto 100, 787's. I hope this decision was taken only on the grounds of merit/commercial reasons and not political/nationalistic reasons. We don't want Airbus 350-RR Trent only and Boeing 787 GE, one to counteract the other. Keep the skies open and fair and let competition for its own sake - flourish.

  • 787 is a Boeing 767 update, not a 7-5.

  • @grassroot3 they ended production on the '57 in 2004, last unit going to Signapore airlines, the 787 design overlaps that of the 757 and thus replaces it. Your point indeed is legitimate but I am guessing that since Boeing wants a USAF Contract to replace their aging 707 and DC10-based tankers, and they plan to use the 767s (legitimizing their continued production)

  • To say a 787 is a 757 or a 767 updated is, at least, ridiculous. Sorry.

  • No, of course you're right. The 787 is no update of the 757. What I meant to say is that its a further development of the 757 concept.

  • are you fuking crazy?? 757 is short medium haul

    787 is a long haul 757 conecept

its a new plane if they did make a new concept boeing would name it a 757-X00

    not a 787

  • OK point taken.

  • the 739 is an update of the 757

  • The 787 is in no way related to the 757, except for being built by Boeing. AA doesn't order engines based on political/nationalistic reasons! AA has rolls on its 757 and 777, GE on it's 767 and 737 (not 100% on this one) and P&W on it's MD-80's. To suggest that picking GE is somehow political is contrary to past practices.

  • @MrExspert Some AA 757's have P&W engines.

  • @MrExspert Correction on my response.........AA used to have 757's with Pratts. Considering I have never seen one with winglets, I researched the subject and found out these are no longer in their fleet. The 57's with Pratts were of course from TWA.

  • hey Mrexspert you're crazy to compare a woman to a aircraft...but i think so that the boeing is very delightful ^^

  • The 757 is like a beautiful woman. Slender body, long legs and big jugs! In my opinion, the best looking airliner ever built and the best flying.

  • especially with the metallic finish, watching climb out with sun hitting her just right the shinning effecy is beautiful and dont forget the vortex landing in low visibility.

  • @MrExspert lol I thought the same what it reminds me of

  • @MrExspert I agree 110% ;D

  • @MrExspert YES IT IS TRUE

  • @MrExspert AA SUCKS!

  • @MrExspert hahahahah

  • @MrExspert: I think it is more like a man -> the older it gets, the more people tend to like it!! :) The CASM has improved significantly the last couple of years when flying times on the 757 rose from an average 3 hours to 5 hours now (thank to the transatlantic flights). 737-900 and A321 CASMs are much better for short flights.

  • @MrExspert

There is no doubt the big jets are the most beautiful machines man ever built! For their awesome weight, speed and power they are soooo graceful in everything they do even just watching them taxiing makes my heart skip many a beat

  • @MrExspert u didn't see the sexy winglets huh?, and amen to that.

  • @MrExspert She's also a screamer.

  • I'd say this is the most beautiful aircraft ever made. It's architecture is just unmatched. Boeing aircrafts have the best looks.

  • I flew on an airbus...i work for a company that flies boeing...airbus makes to much "noise" when you sit near the wings....i have to tell you that the 757 is a sexy plane....its an awesome aircraft...i was sad to hear they don't build them anymore....

  • Don't almost all commercial aircraft look the same?

  • yea pretty much, unless you are an aviation enthusiast.

  • What airport is this? DFW?

  • looks like Gatwick!

  • nvm its Manchester Airport

  • bar none the best sounding commerical aircraft in the world.

  • what a sexy plane!!! my favorite!!!

  • 757 power and acceleration is astonishing. In this movie AA's 757 is probably very heavy because flight to US is a long one for this airplane. Yet it accelerates with so a ease. Beautfiul bird.

  • The 757 is overpowered.

  • put a plane in front of me and I can tell you what it is... natanater08

it is very easy to think which plane it is

  • put a plane in front of me and I can tell you what it is. Put on a video of a plane without saying what it is and I can tell you ok!!!

  • wat about the taxi lights

  • they turn on and off thats saying hello

  • im sorry captain....forgot that you wanted orange juice instead of apple...(no sarcasm here)

  • what is the landing approach speed of a 747-400 at 880,000lbs??

  • Maximum landing weight of a 747-400 is 575,000lbs. Maximum takeoff weight is 880,000lbs.

  • I ride the JFK-SDQ route. Since the A300s are gone(I am gonna miss them so much), I'll be flying the B767s. But the B757 is my favorite aircraft, I love it, don't get me wrong, I like the 767 as well. I just don't understand why won't they use the B757s either.

  • i always fly AA flight 1529 from JFK to SDQ and AA 1901 MIA to SDQ or 680 SDQ to MIA or 1582 SDQ JFK i am Dominican btw

  • I'm Dominican, too :P

  • where do u live i live in Florida but i go home to sto.dgo like 4x a year

  • I live in New York City, hence, the airport code: JFK :P

  • there getting rid of the 757 too

  • I know :(

  • Do you know why American Airlines got rid of the Airbus A300?

  • yes, most 757's have quite a long range, American operates them out of Heathrow to Dallas and back, they also use the 777 for the same flight

  • actually, 757s couldn't make that flight. short to medium range.

  • @drummerboy5192 ... Actually a 757 could make that flight.... i've been on one... We were traveling to Berlin, and our Flight's were (Midland, Texas International to DFW...DFW to Heathrow... Heathrow to Berlin)... We had a 777 on the flight GOING from DFW to Heathrow but on the return trip we were on a 757...look it up

  • @drummerboy5192 ... Actually a 757 could make that flight.... i've been on one... We were traveling to Berlin, and our Flight's were (Midland, Texas International to DFW...DFW to Heathrow... • yeah..thats a dc9

  • Lmfao no it's not, a DC9 has an engine on the tail fin.

  • there's comething known as "sarcasm"

  • Right, after you realize how wrong you were.

  • ahemm...sumone had already posted a comment thinking that it was a dc9....he got 5 thumbs down...and..yeah...STILL i woulda thought that it was a dc9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....get a life....and perhaps...i know a lot bout aviation....

  • I bet you do, and you fly for who now?

  • puh-leez....if knowledge about aviation is flying for a company, then you are......i dunno....plain foolish...

  • Lol, k, quiz me then if I'm so stupid. I'd say what I do for a living but you'll just call me a liar.

  • I just flew on a Delta 757 from Amsterdam to Atlanta, didn't know they had so much range

  • The 757 is boeing's "Sportscar"

  • i think its only 6 hours. they have a long range, and you will be surprised at the amount of seats can fit in a 757. Also way more passengers fly to santo domingo than manchester.

  • I LOVE American Airlines!! It's my favorite and my number 1

  • what a beautiful airplane.

  • Dear All,

I have some humble questions about sociology:

*Does Americans enjoy flying because of the feeling of freedom in the sky?

*Why does aviation technology and development is so advance in USA?

*How does flying related to lifestyle of Americans?

*How does the Americans Values related to aviation advancement in USA?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • In America we depend of air travel because of the distances we have to travel and the time we need to save in order to do business. It's wasted time to drive for 20 hours when we can spend a little more on airfare and get business done faster. Other countries have advanced aviation technology too: Airbus of some European countries; Russia with their new technology, and now China is creating new commercial aircraft. it's all good!

  • It simultaneously scares me and astounds me that we could make something so big and heavy fly.

  • ya now the builders need to make em safe when theyh unfortunitly crash know what

    i mean

  • HE'S OUTA HERE LOL

  • bwahahahaha was that a serious quesiton?

  • serious as you are ;)

  • i love the sound of this turbine

  • Damn, what a long takeoff run

  • The guys were in such hurry they didn't even wait at the turn. They're like we're outta here.

  • You don't have to wait at the "turn" if you already have clearence to take off....

  • yeah he actually added power before he lined up

  • The 757 Is Boeing's "Sportscar"

  • shame they've stopped making them now :(

  • I so agree! Watching this just makes me want to fly on one right now :D Brilliant video :)

  • The 737-900 or -900ER is practically the same plane.

  • true,... unfortunately snce the 787 is replacing the '57 but a middle eastern airline requested a longer '37 w/ more range so... mobey talks

  • It's not only AA.

Continental uses her 757 on route Hamburg-Newark and Delta actually on route Frankfurt-Atlanta.

  • How do you know so much about planes?

  • Well Zeyad1997, the answer to your question. It's easy, when someone's into something, it's easy to want to know more about that something.

  • i love that sound!!!!

  • Nice. I'll be flying on an AA 757 two days from now!

  • aa sucks balls my flight from new york-zurich 767 smoke in wc so we had to emergency land in halifax fly qatar or singapore

  • That's too bad. I hate to say it, but my flight from BOS-LAX was flawless.

  • Would you have rather them keep flying with the smoke???

  • it's passenger demand, Air Canada uses a 777-300ER on the YYZ-YUL

  • Oh thats MAN!
