Hi SaveWestern Ohio, hey thanks for the offer of hiking that land, im really starved for local walks, i dont know where it is though!, anyway i saw some other video's of windturbines and i was shocked by the on/off shadow they create in sunny conditions. I did see some camoflaged cellphone towers in PA, they look like tall pines with only a few branches, which is a definite improvement. ok bye cheers Daniel.
I love Logan county.. My children and I lived there for 13yrs, I coming from Marion and I have to say that since we had to move back to Marion, I miss EVERYTHING about Logan county. The people, the land, the peaceful and beautiful area. If the turbines came in,,I honestly don't think we could move back. I feel in love w/ the landscape as it is. I don't want to look at those huge things.. Thanks and God Bless
Hi Dan. You are welcome to hike here at Shanklin's land across from me. These are some really beautiful woodlands with shale ravines, nice vistas and about 2 miles of mowed trails that I maintain. Just check in with me first so I know who is using it.
As for grain elevators, I don't think you have this right. Maybe you should visit some of the hilly woodlands with wind turbines like Meyersdale, PA or over into WV. It's really very sad and of course the energy is nearly worthless.
As a fellow logan cty residence , i enjoyed your video but arent you being a bit melodramatic? A few turbines on the already man-altered landscape of Ohio may add a touch of graceful, sensible beauty. I and my wife love to drive in the countryside but that's all you can do unless you own some land, how about some public footpaths like in England so we can really enjoy the countryside. Maybe turbines will eventually become as much part of the landscape as grain elevators.
