Obviously to my eyes, those 3 orbiters got unique capabilities and flexibily (the HST Servicing Mission is a clear example), but i understand that are old, expensive and pretty dangerous.
Shame that Nasa and other space agencies didn't cooperate to design a smaller, cheaper and more reliable, Space Shuttle.
Nasa+RussianFSA+ESA+Jaxa can do that, cooperation is the future, ISS is a clear example.
