Hey guys. I'm battling from schizophrenia. I'm not asking for money or views or anything, but just for support and for people to hear me out. My psychiatrist said to let people know about your problem, but everyone thinks I'm weird and my family cannot understand or take me seriously. I made a blog about my problems, and I hope we can talk on there. My blog is battlingschizophrenia.blogspot.com . Fellow schizophrenics, you should also come. We can fight the battle together.
Hi!i'm italian and i don't understand all of what Jason says..:(...my fault...do incidently:) someone wrote his words ?:)
I'm gradutaded in Sociology and i'm very very interested in social exclusion and homelessness (in a micro-way, so feelings, story of life etc) so if you have some books that you liked tell me:) thanks!
@myammonia - Jason is pretty vague but he says people should be more understanding because they don't realize what homeless people have been thru in their lives. That's an understatement to say the least with an illness like schizophrenia...Although he's not as sick as he thinks if he's been able to marry and have relationships
Thanks for bringing out the humanity of these heros on our streets. They make visible what for most of us is invisible and they force us to answer the question: 'Do we care or not?'
What you are doing for these guys in Toronto should be praised, I'm definitely subscribing. If there is any way I can help email me patrickaaron@live.ca
I met Jason (Snake) in 2009 and he helped me. If there is anything I can do message me, I currently live in the KW area.
make treks- "Cheers for the question. We go out into the street and approach homeless people. We then offer them care packages (currently valued at $100 include food and clothing) in exchange for their story. These interviews are then uploaded to youtube and watched by brilliant individuals like your self. We raise money through merchandise sales (tshirts and things) and then 100% of our profits are given back to our interviewees in the form of our care packages. DM for more questions. Cheers."

@thaatxboss it appears people misunderstood my comment and took it as a negative one. What I wanted to say was that this person looks more intelligent, profound and sensible than the general perception that majority of people have about homeless and or schizophrenic people.
Canada does as much as it can for these people but most of them won't except help . We could double the money we spend on these people and it would not make a bit of difference .
@maketreks you are doing incredible things with your interviews. They deserve more views because they are like nothing else on YouTube, well done.
This interview raises some incredible points about mental illness and its relationship with homelessness. It is incredible how many homeless people suffer from mental illness and this is a great example of that. Hats off to Jason too, very good speaker!
Another amazing interview from *maketreks. You guys are doing something very different compared to other homeless organizations. Big respect for breaking the norm when it comes to working with such complex issues as homelessness.
I look forward to more of these unique stories...
There's a quiet dignity to this guy
