@electronicrockets Last year, I found out my roommate mid July and classes started the last week of august :) But it varies for each school, if you call your college's housing I'm sure they'd let you know :)
Hey Taylor, I was just wondering if it's normal if me and my roommate DON'T coordinate bedspreads or have a theme or something? Most of my friends are but my roomie says whatever. But are spreads are so different, I wonder if she'll mind..Does it really matter? I don't think she'll not like me less if we don't, right?
@mmiiaa Yeah it's definately fine! I just really like decorating things and sometimes having stuff coordianted haha but that's just me. But if you guys have different bed spreads it'll still be fun and unique and show off your personalities! But no I doubt she'll like you less because of a bed spread haha :) Best of luck! and I'm sure your dorm will look awesome no matter what! :)
@mmiiaa I don't plan to coordinate my decor with my roommate. I have my own style and I don't plan on compromising it. On the upside, she's free to do whatever she wants with her side of the room. ^_^

Idk what should i do if my roommate ends up being a bitch?like I cant switch bc of lack of rooms so idk lol
@Dehstayne101 Well hopefully your roommate won't be a bitch haha, but if she is and you both don't get along and decide you want to switch rooms.. then maybe you'll make friends with someone across the hall or in your building that doesn't like their roommate as well and you guys could possibly switch roommates or something along the lines of that.. usually if there's a lack of rooms they'll still let you switch roommates within the same building. but if you really end up having a problem
@Dehstayne101 then housing will most likely let you switch rooms in you make it clear you have a problem with your roommate and may let you even switch into a whole dorm building if you wanted to. but, on a positive side, let's hope you and your roommate really click and get along great! just try to go in on a positive note :) good luck with everything!!

I messaged her and we started talking and then she said she has a boyfriend who goes to a college nearby, and at first I didn't think anything of it. But then she said he would be spending the night at our dorm sometimes. Now I am no where near comfortable with that and I nicely told her so. Instead of understanding my position, she ignored my message and didn't reply.
@MaseyLove4Ever Ah that's not cool that she didn't reply. Your roommate needs to remember that you both equally share the room and maybe the first day you guys should come up with some ground rules and stick to them. For example, you both would need each others permission to have friends, boyfriends etc. spend the night. Or maybe you could compromise by saying that he is allowed to stay the night, but you'd prefer if he slept on the floor in a sleeping bag or something instead of sharing a bed
@MaseyLove4Ever Also maybe he has friends or will become friends with some guys up there so he could stay the night in their room and still be able to have time with his girlfriend. Either way your roommate needs to respect the fact that the room is yours as well and that you both will need to come up with an equal understanding of how you want things in your room to go. But if you two end up really not getting along then maybe you'll both mutually agree that you guys aren't the best choice of roommates for each other and both will want to switch. @cottonxcandyxwreck That's awesome! I wouldn't worry too much about it because she may just be really busy this summer. Maybe ask your other roommate if she's heard from her at all. If not then maybe you could message her and see if there's a time you all can go on aim or video chat or something and talk at a planned time so you all could figure out what who's going to bring what and all that fun stuff :)

@sing23401 Hey! Yepp I had to leave campus and move everything out because I wasn't staying on campus over the summer to take class or work there. But if you do decide to take classes and work on campus over the summer then you can still live up their :)

I'm going to college in the fall. And just found out my 2 roommates..
I get along well so far with the one girl, and we email back and forth about likes and dislikes and the building we are living in.
But the other girl NEVER responds, even though she accepted my friend request and all that.
Should I be worried that she's not interested? Or should I just kind be more relaxed about it?
