Yeah, every punch is from like 20 fucking miles away. Some of that shit was coming from Japan it took so long, BULLLLSHITTTTT spar with some real boxers
Paulie Malinaggi and Pernell Whitaker would disagree with you. They both use the same footwork on the outside like this guy was but what ever... If you're such an expert why don't you go make a video and post it on youtube...
he isnt supposed to be able to "finish his punches" That's called hyperextending your elbow and will 100% cause damage after a short while. Its the job of the trainer to not let that happen. Video looks right to me
he finishes his punches. your not supposed to fully extend your arms. hyperextension is how you hurt your elbows. when you fully extend your arms in a punch you seriously damage your tendons which will cause pain and weaker punches. what he is doing is fine.
Just a side note. At 2:18 The reason the guy was corrected when he started circling left was because you don't want to circle toward your opponent's right hand. The only time you really want to circle left is when you throw a 1,2,3, because the normal counter for that combo is a left hook so you would want to circle away from that "to the left away from your opponents left hand". The rest of the time you would want to circle away from the right hand.
Ok, but would you say what I was saying is incorrect? Orthodox boxers circle to the right to stay away from the opponents right hand unless the boxer throws a left hook then they would want to circle to the left to avoid the opponents counter left hook?
Well, I think you're partially correct. It's better to circle to the right away from the power hand, but you should also mix it up so your movements wouldn't be predictable. If he notice that you always move to your right, he will set you up with a feint and you will walk into a hook or a front roundhouse kick. And I also think it's better to duck under the hook to come up for a counter than to move away from the punch when he does the 1,2,3 because you are moving out of countering range.
I always move to the left, if you move to the right against an orthodox fighter he will control you with his jab (which will be thrown alot more than any right handed punch) also if you move to the right you are forced to walk and will eventually end up crossed legged thus affecting your balance, you will also be more open to right hand punches. even if he does throw a right handed punch when you are moving left it will be easy to slip because it's too far away.
some good work here paticularly those last two combo sets, the cross over the jab and the left hook over the right hand from the opponent, the boxer should be using his shoulders to block and guide your punch away from his chin. he may find it easier if he sort of pivots when he throws the left hook or if he does a small pop backwards when he throws the right hand over your jab. :) hope this helps :D
I love it how everybody is real hard when commenting on these types of vids. Give the guy a break, he is obviously doing this to learn. His technique will come. Don't any of you forget..... We all sucked bad once, we only get better with practice
Go suck the niggers cum out of your mums pussy you stupid queer. I bet you're really hard ass thats why you threaten people over youtube like a bitch. I hope your mum gets cancer and dies hahaha.
A spinning back flip? What is that move you learned to stop your dad shoving his pipe dick up your ass and filling you with cum you sad miserable queer.
Fighter has a good snap on his punches...good speed..but like someone pointed out...theyre more arm punches than full body..and theres a big flaw in his punching style....can anyone see it?
His straights are half straight, he doesn't extend his arms. Because of this there isn't stopping power behind his jabs. If you don't make your straights long you will either get countered with hooks or your opponent will walk through your punches. Besides maken your long will give you more distance and it makes your hooks come out better. Making your straight long give you enough room to do a round kick to the liver (muay thai).
Uh... dude WTF are you talking about. A straight should be making contact before the arm is fully extended. Fully extending damages the elbow, not to mention that in the last few inches of a fully extended punch there is exponential power loss.
But like you said, the fighter has some nice boxing :). He is explosive, it looks powerfull. Need a little bit work with his guard and footwork. But he is going in the right direction, I'm impressed.
needs to use legs more on throwing punches...he never uses lower body when executing 90% of his punches meaning he is losing alot of energy in his punch..hence, is the reason why he gets slower...also..never, never, instruct a fighter to move in only one direction, thats the worst thing u can do...1 dimensional fighters freeze up when opponents work angles against them...also, a boxers legs should never cross when stepping, this means ur off balance, and u cant throw punches off balance.
Guess you didn't read the info section at all. It basically says everything you said. And from watching the video I think it executes doing the things you say is not executed within the context of what is being taught. Again, see the info section.
In fact everytime you throw a punch your open for a counter. Sure you shouldn't drop your jab etc. and help your opponent. Counter punching is a science and it's not as easy to execute as you make it sound. Especially with the kid that's in the video.
I work with a pro Muay Thai fighter right now, one of the best in th world. A k1 winner. Now this dude has the most unorthodox hook I've ever seen. My point is every fighter has comfort zones. Now in terms of the OH RIGHT. We were only working on the technique of the punch. Everyone is open for a counter hook when you throw that punch. Easier said than done. If your timing is that serious brother, send me your name so I can tell folks i knew you before you went pro.
Agreed. The first overhand right or the left uppercut lands on his face... Alex's gonna fall like a pancake and lay down on the floor dead like a log. =/ Good luck criticising people's punching or what they're doing. You end up eating your own words with some 4-Ups involved.
