  • This is reeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaally cool. I'm glad that hipsters aren't exactly music buffs and/or tone chasers. If they were, they would have found this by now and every hipster would be playing a box guitar instead of some piece of shit "vintage" strat or les paul. GUH

  • Thanks!!

  • frickin cool

  • Awesome playing!!

  • @NinjaTaco0598 Thanks for watching!

  • dang what a jam!

  • Great sounding home made instrument.

  • Hi there

    Is this like a dulcimer?

Also, what is the tunning of it? It sounds really great. Thank you

  • @nuthalia Thanks!! I don't think so. I think a dulcimer uses a different scale and tuning. This uses a simple tuning like eaea or gcgc. It plays like a slide guitar. Thanks for watching!!

  • Rock and roll and blues. LOL

  • They are walnut dowels, they go thru the neck. Something alittle different.

  • Lenny- this is awesome. I love the clean sound, and the dowels right through! I am about to build one of these, and I was wondering if you could send me any info about the piezio (sp?) pickup. And did you use real fret wire, or did you improvise? -Christopher

  • Thanks for your comments!! I got the piezo from stu mac online. Its a Schatten soundboard transducer. I did use fret wire. I get alot of my how its done info from stu mac. • Aw man. Another nice axe! I like the sound of pine. Did you use a Shatten for the pickup again?

  • Very cool Lenny, great tone just like the first one. Only the first one looked a bit cooler with the bikeweek pin's but thats just my oppinion on the looks, fretting it realy gave this one an edge the harlybox didnt have.

    Very cool Lenny, keep building!!!!!!

  • Thanks!! Yeah the bikeweek pins do add some to the looks. I like the frets too. They do add more crispness to the sound. Thanks for your input! I hope your still playing. I had to load this video on my wifes computer. mine is still messed up .Won't play video.I 've been missing out on everybody's music.I hope to get a new one. Trying to watch my money while I wait and see what our beat up economy does. later

  • Your very welcome Lenny, hey maybe you could paint the pins on or something and get a little of both worlds. Too bad about your computer, i know how much that sucks when its broken and you dont have another, hope you get a new one soon my friend so you can catch up.

Yeah i am still playing but i havnt built anything lately cause i rescently bought a Republic (Texas) Resolian and that realy dented my wallet so i need to save up for materials and such but i will be building again soon.

    Cheers!!

  • I was looking at those Texas guitars. They look like they are well made. I bet you'll get some good tunes out of it.

  • man, this is right on, perfect volume, sound and playing. beautifully built.

sounds great: distorted or plain. you did a fantatic job on this one.

  • Thanks!! You are too kind. I thank you for your comments .

  • Sounds great from here, right volume just enough distorsion to make that box wail and groove like a big guitar!

  • Thanks!!

  • You are a talented handy man!

  • Thanks! I think I recorded it too loud.
